Comparing Hank to Freddy Mitchell is the same as comparing a $30K V-8 pick-up to a $500K show car. The one gets the job done within the speed limit - the other eats as much gas, needs 100 times the maintenance, and never runs when you need it. Hank is a Patriots' hero, who, through no fault of his own, is now a Jet. Mangini knew he was getting a solid pick-up (truck or player) because he coached him, and we card carrying Hank Poteat Bongo Bandwagon members must now adjust our spotting scopes for the green glare off his uniform, and cheer for him to win the starting job.

I'm not only sorry to see our Captain of the Shadow Roster move on, I'm really sorry he couldn't keep a career in professional football. Bummer Hank. I'll still tap lightly on the bongos from time to time.
