Halfway mark check - how many wins for the Pats in 2024?

I never said it was "just" brady.. I simply mention he had ALOT to do with it. A coach can coach all they want if brady never executed than the offense doesn't score. The job of the players is to execute, and allow their talent to make plays.
No matter how good the talent coaches still have to create great schemes and put their players in the best position possible to win. Weekly they have to prepare the players and make sure they are conditioned enough to win.

Too many people here attributing bad coaching and scheme to bad talent They didn’t give up a ton of yards rushing right up their gut last week because of talent or because the players were soft… the scheme was soft and the coaches made no in-game adjustment to fix it. They needed a week to fix it.

This offensive line is lacking talent, the coaching is inexperienced… that’s why we suck now.

How many of those peers have 7 rings from someone else?

It's interesting how Brady has more rings than any other player in NFL history - and the Dilfer's, Flaccos and the rest of the "along for the ride" QB's never have more than one. Not that hard to understand why.

Brady beat Peyton Manning several times in an era where Peyton Manning also got to benefit from rules that favor the passing game. So yes wins and rings are team stats but downplaying the QB's role in those wins is shortsighted. He outplayed his peers.

I can think of one former Patriots QB who made it look easy.

And how the hell are they going to find a way to lose to the Titans?

They truly are awful.
LOL. We will probably win that one, even with Bissett twirling around behind the line waving the ball around. I suspect we'll come in third or so in the draft order, truth be told. Carolina is genuinely the worst in the league. Even the Jets have what it takes to compete for the top (bottom) spot.

This is ugly, of course. But if we truly want to win, to be sufficiently competitive that our wins actually mean something - unlike that weird fiasco last Sunday - we have to take the long view and build a stock of draft picks. It's a simple matter of delaying gratification. It's what adults do.

Ya. My notifications keep blowing up from people who feel some kind of way about my approach on accumulating players.

It's really simple. Pick 3 is better than pick 15.

No one said you can't get a better player at 15 than 3. No one is saying you can only get good players in the top 3. No one is saying you can't build from the middle.

But what I am saying is it's easier when you have more valuable assets and if you don't get that pick 3 is more valuable then it's just ignorance. You obviously get it.

My dream was to get pick 1 and trade it and help kick start the rebuild by getting a extra first and a couple extra second rounders so it INCREASED your odds at picking the right guy.

Never did I say anywhere to these people that it was a guarantee. Sorry I don't find it all that interested to be winning 4 to 6 games every year picking in spot 15 and coming away with such talented rock stars like the 5th overall quarterback taken in the first 15 picks like Mac Jones.

The only way up is through the bottom.

5 wins.

Home field matters to a younger squad. Combine the young roster with Drake Maye likely not playing this week, and we have a good chance of losing to Tennessee on the road. Chicago is a loss on the road. The Rams are coming to Foxboro and should do well if they are healthy. Miami is on the road as well. Even with us playing well, it seems we go 1-3 during this stretch.

In the final stretch, we play the Colts at home and should take care of business. Arizona and the Bills on the road are losses. San Diego is a loss in Foxboro, barring bad weather helping the Patriots against a warm weather team. Finally, the Bills might rest players when they visit the Patriots. My prediction is 2-3.

Entering the season, this felt like a 3 win team. But with Maye showing such good signs and some of the teams on the schedule being worse than expected, this should be a 5 win season.

I wouldn't bank on the Patriots winning. First, the game is on the road and this team is young and prone to distractions (see: London). Second, we are coming off a statement victory and this team hasn't shown the ability to put together consistency yet. Finally, the Titans just got dominated and likely will have a bounce back game. I still give us a good chance, but it feels like a Titans victory at first glance. We will do better than expected, though, in some of our home games.

I'm predicting between 4 and 5. That's counting this week because I think they win. Division games can always get weird so I think we steal one from the Bills late in the season. 4 Might be the sweet spot where Drake improves and really looks the part AND we get a top draft pick to trade back and add more picks.

It was 4 wins with Jacoby. With Maye and an improving OL, I think it has to be 6 and optimistically 8.

Patriots can't clinch any playoff spots yet. I'll check back later.

He actually only beat Manning’s teams once in the playoffs since the rule changes went into effect in 2004 and was 4-6 in all games since 2005. Tom lost 3 consecutive times in the playoffs to Manning’s teams in 2006, 2013 and 2015.

Many people seem to sleep on the second half of their rivalry.

I feel the second half of the rivalry was null and void because we had won so much and we handed Peyton a SB in 2006.

2 more wins. If our WR’s wake up then we could get 2-4 more. I am torn, this season is already lost so a high draft pick would be good however I always want wins !!

Winning is the best thing this years team can Do. Riddled with injuries all over the team and if they could string together some wins it does so much more for the culture going into next season.
