Nicks: sprained AC joint

also, ahmad bradshaw will be limited in practice because of a broken foot he's been nursing for a while.

So put a helmet into Nicks shoulder every time he touches the ball and step on Bradshaw's foot all game.

Seems like every year there's a few guys going into the Super Bowl with tough injuries that they're fighting through, and every time they're one of the top performers in the game. I'm done thinking any of these injury reports are going to affect these players until they are declared officially inactive. Same goes for Gronk, IMO.

This isn't the WWE

dude the giants were going after that Williams kid of the 49ers because he had 3 concussions this year. one of the giants players admitted this.

Wait, what would be better, Nicks and Bradshaw missing the game (like the regular season matchup) or playing less than 100% (Super Bowl)?

I heard about that. Talk about being down right evil.

Them playing at less than 100%.. So the Pats can take advantage of it..

no way, is going to be 100%. They'll probably only use him as a decoy.

And watch for Pierre-Paul trying to slap the figure-4 on Brady's injured knee!

 :bricks:

The "stepping on the foot thing" was sarcastic, the helmet to the shoulder thing was not. sheesh.

As I recall the 2007 SB was settled with the injury that Hochstein suffered in the previous AFCCG game. Hochstein, their main O-line reserve, was limping throughout the run up to the game. He proved wholly ineffective as soon as Neal went down early in the Super Bowl. The Giants line then ran wild.

Nicks is hurt, I didn't know that Bradshaw had a broken foot, but I did know that Chase Blackburn, their starting SLB, is hurt and did not practice. He is the only LB with real size to counter the Pats run game and their 4 DE line is very light. When they beef up, their pass rush largely dissipates.

Bradshaw has been playing through this injury for weeks. Nicks got his injury during the last game and came back favoring his shoulder a bit, but did make a play or two after he came back. He should be fine. Blackburn is also fine as he's already listed as probable.

It's one game, the biggest of their lives. You can bet that any injured player that steps on the field will give it their all, pain or no pain.

aybe it would have been better for Nicks to sprain his jaw. Then he wouldn'r provide bulletin board material...then again. Whatever stokes the flames for us.

Feb 5 can't get here fast enough.

Damn it, our OL should just plow those mouthy stringbeans (other than Canty).

Run, run, then play-action pass. Mix it up.

Time to punch 'em in the mouth.

Light-Mankins-Connolly-Waters-Vollmer/Solder-Gronkowski can steamroll that DL.

Happens everywhere.....I had to stop wearing a knee brace purely because teams would see it and hit me deliberately on that knee when I dropped back...when I ran they just dive at my legs.

If there's a player that can cause you problems and you can hurt him, you do it. It's naive to believe the Pats don't.

Trust me, we need to pray that Chase Blackburn plays.
