It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I wish I could find the article where Gronk talks about his finances, how he manages his money and investments and how he learned from his Dad. Comes across totally unexpectedly differently and more maturely than in other situations.
I saw the interview of him on the news earlier today; it is actually “cute” to see how uncomfortable Gronkowski feels about being the role model type, he clearly sees as a big kid himself and has the approach that he is just giving his buddies some equipment to ball with, what is all the fuss about. It is comforting to see a player contributing to the community and not being overjoyed to share is prepared statement to the press. I know Gronkowski gets a lot of slack for being immature but I find him to be a good guy that you can point to and say look at that 23 year old guy, he works hard, plays by the rules, and still is able to enjoy his life.
...I'm ready to bet the farm this will not make it on ProFootballTalk?!?
maybe he is simply unusually adept at separating business from pleasure......
you make it sound like he's stupid for having fun
100% not trying to take away from how awesome this is, but just to put in perspective just how much money these guys make...
Gronk's contract averages $8.8 million per year. As a percentage of income, the $45,000 he donated is roughly the equivalent of a $500 donation from someone making $100,000.
