I wouldn't make the trade because I'm more for keeping Brady comfortable with the same receivers, especially because he's getting older.
But... it wouldn't be all that bad if it happened.
Gronk is the best TE in the NFL, no joke. But the offense doesn't exactly NEED him. They would be just fine without him as long as they have or pay Welker and find a deep threat WR to compliment him. The defense however NEEDS somebody in the secondary. Revis, though overrated, is a whole lot better than anything in the secondary.
I'd much rather have Welker walk than Trade away Gronk. Gronk is cheaper, younger, and a better player.
If we were talking about a 23 year old Revis who was a DPOY candidate, sure. Or talking JJWatt, sure. But a 28 year old Revis coming off an injury, with an enormous contract? There's just not a lot of value there.
