Making judgements and sermons based on NO PROOF has become an art form, evidently.

Exactly. It's no wonder Doyel agrees with the NFL's conclusions about football deflation. He'd approach it the same way - "Proof? Who needs proof? I've got my prejudiced suspicions and that's all I need."

Doyel made a career out of being an antagonistic jerk in the media to a lot of different fanbases. He's proud of this behavior. There's a possibility this isn't just a character he plays at work and he also acts this way in real life. Maybe he ticked someone off in his neighborhood and they slashed his tire as revenge. That's more likely than his article pushing some Patriots fan (who happens to live in Indiana and knows where Doyel lives) over the edge.

As a Pats fan I think about the Colts maybe 3 times a season. Obsessed Colt fans and writers have the Patriots on their simple minds every waking hour.

To me Indianapolis is more a doormat than a rival.

I heard Doyel on the radio once....He definitely is a true believer in deflategate. Not many who have followed the story really closely are still in that camp.

If the people from Indy do not believe stuff like this, they will lose faith in their team...and that's expensive!

It's much cheaper to invent and propagate stuff like "deflategate" and use it to spur them on. And this is what the Indy management thinks of their cattle. And how does the cattle respond? They buy more stuff...are going to teach those "cheaters" something...for a small fee.
