Greg Bedard seems to think the Pats may be making a blockbuster trade soon

"Blockbuster trade" needs to be defined as that term has been really overused by the media. We haven't seen a "blockbuster trade" since Champ Bailey for Clinton Portis. Stafford for Goff is about as close as it gets.

Stafford for Goff?
Hill to Miami?
Seymour to Raiders?

Vrabel is steering the ship.
Cleveland would be stupid to pass on Hunter even for 2 extra high 2nd rounders.
They will alienate their fans if they pass on Hunter.
Would absolutely do this trade if I am pats

Maybe they want Sanders and know he will be there at 4?

Agreed.

That's also one of the very few trades where both teams actually got better as a result of it.

Hill and Seymour are a no because it's not a player for player swap. In fact, Seymour's was worse because the Pats couldn't use the pick for 2 years. A blockbuster trade benefits teams immediately. Draft picks are unknown.

Stafford for Goff is a close as it gets which I edited while you where typing your post.

This.
That said, I think that people actually talk to him, unlike Breer who gets all his **** from Twitter and his dreams.
Breer just says whatever his "sources" want him to say in support of their decisions. He's a shill for the teams, all of them. He will never question what management does, for fear of losing his standing with the bigwigs. His manner says he's an authority; his words say he's a PR flack for management.

He knows lol. Most of us here also know they're big trade hunting, either something with 4 or with 38. Vrabel and Wolf could invite any of us to dinner and tell us directly "we're big trade hunting" and we still wouldn't be any more enlightened than we were before.
To me, a blockbuster is getting some pro-bowl/all-pro level guy. They deal for Tee Higgins. Garrett Wilson. Hendrickson. #4 to Pittsburgh for #21 and TJ Watt would get that blockbuster moniker.

For all these guys clamoring to move up, I don't think they should be giving up anything to move up to 2 or 3. Not in this draft.

I would do it for Hunter. Getting an all pro veteran when we are years away from serious contrntion makes no sense

If Bedard isn't full of ****, I'd say it's for a WR. I don't think it's for AJ Brown, but probably for a lessor known WR like Chris Olave. Too much money has been allocated to defense. A trade for a WR would signal that Vrabel isn't messing around. The 4th pick would then be used to take a T.
