To those naysaying that the footballs could not have lost much pressure because it just wasn't cold enough the night of the AFCCG:

(1/4)When checking the game balls, the refs check the psi indoors. This is frustrating bc the ball loses some pressure in cold weather...

(2/4)... During our home playoff game this year [bold mine] I asked the official if he could check the psi outside again bc the ball felt flat and he...

(3/4)...said he could not. I guess you can't blame the official for that. Rules are rules. Maybe the league will make some changes this...
(4/4)...offseason. Sucks kicking a flat ball tho. #BombSquadNonetheless

I just googled what the high and low was in Charlotte, NC for the day of the game Gano is referencing - - January 3, 2015. High 52, low 47. Foxboro on Sunday night was colder - High 48 Low 19.

BTW 3 of the 4 punters in the Carolina-Ari and NE-Indy games averaged under 36 yards per punt. McAfee of Indianapolis was the outlier at 49.6.

****Remember - - The Kicking balls are not in the custody of the teams - - only the NFL.

Summation: It doesn't necessarily have to be 20 degree type cold for the ball to deflate. Gano's observation supports that the conditions of Sunday night are cold enough to create the deflation of a "control" ball.

It's a good point.

Tweet it to someone. Everyone.

Hell, things are so out of control, you never know who gets the next big story in this scandal.

I'm not a tweeter (or myfacer).

I'm not either but someone around here must be.

Hell, I'm serious when I say with all the sh*t being flung around and sudden self-proclaimed experts, why shouldn't a fan try to help in any way they can?

Great work finding that and I mean it. It'll be ignored.

Chasa, can you tweet it to others? Like Colin Cowherd or Mike Reiss or someone?

Thanks. And you're probably right that it will be ignored.
I HATE being so negative about all of this, but the unfairness and inequity of all of this s### since 2007 has me so pissed off I can't get away from negativity.

What stage is "acceptance"?

'Cause I've gone through all of them at this point.

Graham gano also said thst the temperature deop cannot cause 2lbs of deflating.

that's fine, it wasn't 2lbs it was 1.5 psi.

And ESPN's Sports Science proved that it CAN.

Go to 1:45.

Yes, it wasn't 10 degrees Sunday night, but they sat around and then been used for more than just an hour, there was significant wind and rain - - all you have to do is look at the trajectory of Vinatieri's missed FG with the NFL custody kicking ball.

Also, the Sports Science ball decreased 2.5 Psi from 13.5 Psi (high legal end) to 11 Psi. All these could had to do was decrease 1.5 Psi if they were originally provided at the legal low end of 12.5 and deflated to 11.

Tested indoors 2.5 hours before game time, moved outdoors, and then played with for the first half(1.5 hours) conservatively the balls were outside for 3+ hours assuming they didn't make it outdoors immediately.
