1) Did you see Chad Jackson in his first game as a Pat last week?

2) Did you see Doug Gabriel in his second game as a Pat last night?

3) We are in first place in the AFC East, tied with a team we beat in their own house last week.

4) Congratulations to the Miami Dolphins for squeaking out a 13-10 home win against the worst team in pro or college football yesterday.

5) We have 2 first rounders next year

6) We have 13 games to go this year.

For all of you complaining that we have Caldwell and Brown as our starting WR's this season, please wake up.

Jackson, Gabriel, Caldwell and Brown will be an excellent WR squad after the bye. These guys need playing time in this offense.

The only thing that really worries me is Brady. How many grotesque overthrows to WIDE OPEN receivers did he make last night? He was downright Easonian. My hope is that Dr. Pioli proscribed him Prozac in their closed door meeting last night. Brady needs a good shrink right now.

There are more problems then that. The defense hasn't been able to cause turnovers in two seasons now. They had a total of 10 picks last season (Ty Law had that by himself). So far this season the defense has ONE thats right 1 takeaway which was a last second hail mary to end the game vs. the Jets.

Not one forced fumble or one "legit" interception in 3 games.

It's not the WR's I'm worried about...It's whether Brady can get his edge back and get his head back in the game...I measn I think Gabriel looks like he can be a solid WR, and if Jackson can stay on the field, maybe him to. However we need our QB to play better and I believe his inacuracy for the first 3 games is a direct result of just looking like he is not really into the game.......Observation that every media/analyst has seen.

Thank you, Shmessy. I'm getting tired of the 'voices of reason' who are clapping themselves on the back for predicting trouble and rejoicing it when it arrives.

Here's a nice quote from Albert Breer on Gabriel:
" On the final drive, in which he made two more catches for 21 yards, he ran a sideline route, stretched out for a ball and dragged his feet. The ball bounced off the ground as he landed, and the official called it out of bounds.
Whether the call was right or wrong, Gabriel doesn’t know. What he does know is that his failure to haul in the ball on what proved to be the Patriots’ final series gives him something else to focus on.
“(The official) said I was out,†said Gabriel. “I’m going to work on that all week.â€"

People can call it 'garbage time' all they want. It wasn't and at that time Denver didn't have an insurmountable lead. Gabriel made good plays and ran well after the catch. We're going to like this guy.

And we're going to like Jackson. I think.

Reche looked decent last night. Not great, but decent. He's a good blocker and that offensive PI call was the direct result of a missed call for holding on Faulk. Denver held Faulk and Reche was blocking for the screen play that never happened.

The Pats are 2 and 1 and got their butts handed to them, and all night Brady looked like someone kicked his dog. In the third game of the season.

DISASTER!!!!

They'll be fine. Frankly, I was a lot more concerned about the OLine's inability to open holes for Maroney than about Brady giving the Felger something to whine about all week long.

When the playoffs roll around, Jackson, Gabriel, Caldwell and Brown will be a very good 1-4 group. It may be a little ugly for a few more weeks, though. If we can get to the bye 3-2 we'll be fine.

We need to remember that on that Final Scoring drive deep in the 4th quarter.Brady was TEN FOR TEN for 80 yards and a Touchdown. So,Is it really a matter of him not being able to get his head in the game??

- I don't think anybody here is insinuating that Brady CAN'T do it - everybody knows Brady is one of the best if not THE best qb around, but it would be really nice if he showed a little more consistency (that 10/10 drive was awesome, but he didn't do anything too memorable last night outside of that one drive.)

I think Brady has a little Deion Branch hangover going on. He seems to still be very disappointed about the Branch situation. I can't say as I blame him. His passes are not as accurate as they have been in past years. Hopefully he can get over it and go back to being the Brady we all know.

I think he started a good relationship with Gabriel last night. With Gabriel and Jackson healthy we should be in good shape. Watson should then see less double coverage.

I am not worried yet. Denver always seems to beat us. Denver has a very good defense this year anyway. Only 1 TD against them in 3 games.
