There's a reason why I've been posting the Gosselin's mocks for many years now -- he's simply the best. And if I had posted this one, I would have quoted the following to save y'all some grief:

The first mock is based on my draft board of the top 32 players

the second focuses more on team need

the third is how I see the draft playing out

Good. Now that we've cleared that up, here's a few facts:

• Barwin is obviously not among his top 32 players but Matthews is -- so deal with it.

• Mock #2, based on need, may list a different position -- deal with that also.

• His final mock, will be a combination of his top ranked players, team needs, and songs from his birdies. IOW, if his connections haven't a clue as to who the Pats are targetting, he'll pencil in his highest remaining player at the Pats position of need.

When all the smoke has cleared my money is on Evander Hood-DL-Missouri. I just think Pat's front wall is and has been the beginning of the Pat's success over the past few years. Hood is 6'3-300lb , would make contributions as a rookie-eventually taking over for Seymour or Warren. his versatility to play inside is a huge bonus. He is my pick if the draft were today. Thus allowing us to sign Jason Taylor to start at olb. Keep an eye on Larry English at 34. These 2 would give Pat's an injection of youth right away.

If the Pats do take a DL in the first round, I would want to trade up and grab Tyson Jackson.

Gosselin has Andre Smith and Michael Oher on board when we pick. I'd bet anyone
on here 100 bucks neither are on draft day. If one of them is, we should pick them.
