Hope he stays with the team.
Is he signed for next year?

Yet another Cal Bear!

J'rod Cherry started the trend....

Thanks for givin the guy some love. He has gotten better each game but it would not surprise me if they run a lot of plays at him sunday. He's a California boy if I remember right....should have some fans in the stands and some proving to do on the field...after all he was a 7th round draft pick.

Not sure about his contract status but count me in on hoping he stays too. He's turning into a solid LB. I'm sure he's on some other teams radar too.

according to miguel's page he is signed through this year making him a free agent next year

He is a free agent in March of 2007 (i.e. two months from now)

Why is it that a player starts to be productive and Bam; his contract is up?

Bam isn't going anywhere yet?

TBC was a conversion project, four years to transition to a starting role isn't too bad.

I'm not usually a big sign 'em early guy but who else was in the pipeline at linebacker.

They might have cost themselves some money. TBC played very well against the Jets in a playoff game and some teams just go by that even if he isn't as good a fit for their system.

If TBC was willing to deal, they should have rolled the dice on this one for a long term contract IMO.

Given that TBC, after four years of instruction and training, has had a half dozen games of starting and is now becoming a FA.

And then you wonder why BB doesn't like to draft LBs?
