I don't know if this has been done before, but I thought I'd set up a thread for people to post good football twitter accounts to follow. I'm not actually on Twitter, but I do pay attention to some who are. Here are a couple of them who aren't local, but do a good job IMO:

https://twitter.com/RavensInsider

https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter

If the thread seems to be something people like and contribute to, I'll add others.

I like the player tweets that Reiss has on the ESPNBoston blog, but I'm not sure they'd qualify as good to follow because they're sometimes so inane. Still, it might be a decent idea to compile a list of players' handles.

Link to compiled assortment of current & former, seems well curated

Some Notables: I haven't really verified that these are interesting or safe for work.

Bedard is good on there and I like Omar Kelly who covers the dolphins, he's a rare character

This is real freaky lol. About 2-3 days ago i was looking for a thread exactly like this so i could add twitter to my sports page in my pulse news app. Couldnt find one though, so thanks for your effort.
Still feels a little trippy haha

perhaps this should be a sticky...it's not like Twitter is going to disappear anytime soon...it'd be convenient instead of hunting down this thread buried pages back in the weeks to follow.

I joined twitter just to follow football related tweeters. Used to follow a list posted as a link to someone else's account, but twitter won't always make members pages available to non members when overloaded. Plus at draft time he overloaded his own list with dozens of gurus.

Too lazy to do links but here are most of my Pats/NFL follows not already mentioned:

geez...that's a list alright...with all the time you spend scouring tweets, links and chasing down reports it has occurred to me to ask you, since you ARE one of the top three fiscal experts here, why not resurrect the Pats cap page that Miguel used to handle every year? I, for one, would much rather rely on the figures produced by a Patriots fan than those of another team...for obvious built in bias reasons.Just a late night thought but at some point we need a cogent salary cap page here.

Roger Goodell‏ @nflcommish
...

Brrr... you just gave me the creeps when I thought about what comes out of that account. Most likely it's a hired hand sending those tweets, becouse Goodell is too busy trying to ruin this sport.
