Outside of Ben Coates, Terry was one of my all time favorite Patriots. #7 Overall, I still remember my glee as I was screaming at the TV for Parcells to take him on day one of Draft Day, and he did. Terry was one of the few core pieces with Parcells and Bledsoe that helped change this organization around. RIP #88, we remember...

Bob I can't put into words how well written that was. Great job.

RIP Glenn.

Nice piece, except for one detail: my recollection is that the player Parcells really wanted to draft wasn't Brackens. Rather, it was defensive lineman Cedric Jones. This was the same Cedric Jones who was drafted by the Giants. The Sporting News not long ago did a piece which named the worst draft picks in the history of every NFL team. The player named as the worst in history for the New York Giants? The very same Cedric Jones. And no, the Cedric Jones Parcells wanted was not the Cedric Jones who played receiver for the Pats in the 1980s.

I cannot think of Terry without remembering Parcells calling him "she", and his fadeaway in 2001. I'm so glad he turned his life around, and so sad it was cut short.

As Drew Bledsoe said, the football team in Heaven just got a heckuva player, and an even better man. May the good Lord rest him and keep him, and give comfort to his loved ones.
