Giants were terrible YESTERDAY. Eli threw 2 sure fire INT's

I thought SF's real strength was run D. And while I agree they can certainly cover receivers, New Orleans didn't exactly have a bad outing against them, despite the last second loss.

SF is very strong against the run, but their whole D is pretty incredible.

The pressure they got on Manning in that game was unreal. I can't remember the last time I saw a QB take that kind of persistent beating - probably Cutler against the Giants last year.

It's still weird that the Giants pulled it off. Usually, when a D gets that many stops and that much pressure, it's a done deal.

Yeah, I can't argue with you, but it's still true that New Orleans basically did their thing against that same D. Didn't they have close to 500 yards of offense? It's too bad their defense was exposed or that would have been a very different NFCCG.

The Saints would have rolled. The Giants don't match up well w/ them at all - they would have likely gotten beat pretty badly down in that dome.

Probably better for the Pats, too...

I don't know about being better for the Pats, but from a "we can win a shootout" perspective, possibly.

All I have to say is be careful what you wish for.

The 49ers were a much worse matchup for us than people think, but the Giants won't be easy. In fact they're capable of blowing us out if we don't show up. Not saying they will, but they could.

I think both teams are pretty even and I think Brady has the ability to have more consistent success against this Giants Defense than the Ravens. Its all going to come down to a couple plays.. GB failed to convert some easy plays.. Sanfran coughed up the ball deep in there own territory twice.

Both defenses are playing better and if Wilfork plays another GOAT game like he did last sunday we have a great chance to win.

Just wanted to point this out since the media keeps talking about the Giants being "red hot".

Yes, theyre a great team. Battle tested. Gritty. But still terribly inconsistent. Perhaps it was because the ball was wet and the field was slippery. I don't know. But as someone who doesn't watch a whole lot of Giants games, I was not at all impressed last night.

Eli threw 2 surefire picks yesterday. Both were botched by the same 49ers player (Dashon Goldson) being overly aggressive and running into his own team mate.

Tom threw two actual picks. Not sure this helps your argument here.

Goldson running into his own guy reminds me of when AFCCG here Sterling Moore laid out McCourty in the second Jets game.
