Tell him he can find the Patriots record for that timeframe in the history books. Mention that if the Giants are better than the Patriots, they better get on the stick as far as proving it. So far, they haven't.

The Giant fan point counterpoint will be, that's in the past, we mean this year the Giants are better than the Pats.

I don't know who the Giants picked up that would put them over the top though...

I work in Boston and we have a guy in our office who just started and is from New York. Well today he was claiming that the Giants are a much better team than the Patriots. This Friday I will be sending the link with this post to him so he can see what intelligent football fans have to say about that ridiculous statement. So please New England tell us why the Giants are not as good as the Patriots.

And people got all over Brady for saying the Pats got NO respect...well, he was dead on right!

So your friend thinks he'll get biased opinions from pats fans? okay,tell him to check out almost ANY national nfl publication,website,etc-espn,sporting news,cbs,SI,etc. I have NEVER seen the giants picked any higher than 3rd in their division for the upcoming season---and neither the boyz or skins-both picked ahead of em-are all that good. The patriots, on the other hand, are picked more often to represent the afc in the upcoming SB than any other team. Hmmmm. i dont put alot of stock in presaeson stuff BUT-when the vast majority of people who are paid to do this for aliving all come up with the same answers...could it be that MAYBE-they might just know something your giants friend doesnt? Also tell him defense and qbs win championships. the giants rank near the bottom of the entire nfl in both. they have an explosive offense-but they couldnt stop a pop warner team from scoring. most fans who KNOW football-no matter how passionate of afan they are-are fairly realistic about their and other teams strengths and weaknesses. i live in an area in the south where people are from all over the country. the REAL football fans i know(regardless of who they root for-and that includes some giants fans)are pretty accurate about their chances. no knowledgeable giant fan i know thinks they have much of a chance to even win their division. dallas and wash both have improved bigtime. your friend is an idiot.
