Doesn't it say everything about him that Thayer Munford as elevated over him and he was a PS player for Cleveland the prior week?

The writing is on the wall here.

Yes. It don't look good. For sure.

But Vrabel has been delighted to cut previous administrations picks. Wallace is all that's left from last year's draft except Maye. This was as big a house cleaning as you see so why keep Wallace?

These situations have turned around before. It's not like a guy you have seen and are sure he sucks. It's not great odds, but we haven't even seen him play. I barely remember even in preseason.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but only the coaches were fired from last year's team. So the previous administration that ran last year's draft is the same one that ran this year's draft. They may indeed hold out hope for him, as you say. BUT I will only note that many of the castoffs are starting and doing well for other teams right now. So... there appeared to be an attempt to get rid of veterans, but many the players still on their 1st contract have been kept.

Wallace is confusing, we agree there. I wrote him off a while ago but even I was surprised he didn't play last week.

They were, but player evaluation/selection became a different process.

I don't think you would dispute there was a roster cleaning.

Somehow this apparent JAG survived.

So the Bills try to make moves at the trade deadline and now add Brandon Cooks and Darius Slay, while the Pats stand pat and are surging.

Feeling the pressure Buffalo?

Meh, I feel like the media missed the lead on this one. Slay's contract was almost all bonus $. He'll cost the Billdos all of $350K. For that money I'd be surprised if several teams didn't put in a claim on him just for the depth even if they never dressed him

I also said something along the lines of "I will puke if the Pats take Will Campbell at #4 and the Chiefs end up with Josh Simmons".

No one has a monopoly on being wrong.

I can think of a few people.....

Pittsburgh is deep enough at DB to cut a veteran during a playoff drive?

One they weren't dressing. I haven't deep dived it beyond the contract. I suspect it was more a veteran/respect thing. Obviously he wasn't a 'fit' in that scheme so with him asking for release they granted it. Slay has been in the league a long time, not a good look for a player friendly organization like Pittsburgh wants to appear being, to let him languish.

Tomlin is the epitome of Players Coach, been dealing with problem children for years...
For him to release Slay is a serious RedFlag IMHO

There is decline there. It’s a bad move IMO and I support it
Although this will factor into the potential contract with Hooper if the team wanted to go that route. I believe Henry is signed through 2026. I think Hooper is valuable and can produce more if needed but I do prefer they draft a TE in the 1st 3 rounds next draft. @Family
