I mean.. this is a very easy schedule. There’s not reason why we can’t finish above the Jets/Fins. All it takes is for Buffalo to have a mid season skid and fall to 10-11 wins. It’s not impossible.

That's my thinking as well. Pats are definitely on their way up while the Jete and Dollyfins are floundering. If Buffalo falters any more than a little I could see the Pats overtaking them. This schedule is a real gift

I don't not think it. It's certainly within the realm of possibility for New England to take the division

Here's the challenge the Pats have which I've noted previously. Buffalo has been on fire when December rolls around barely losing the last 5 years since they've taken over the division. On the other hand, the Pats have not had a winning record when December rolls around since 2018.

The lack of competition within the division and the rest of the AFC is what has helped Buffalo keep stumbling into division titles and the opportunity to lose in the playoffs. I think there area lot of "ifs", but this looks like the Pats best roster since 2018.

I think 11 wins is an absolute best case scenario, so any catching of Buffalo will have to come from them falling apart. But passing the fish and jets is totally doable.

You're right, we'll need Buffalo to falter a bit. Unfortunately while the Pats schedule is ranked 2nd weakest this season the Bills is only slightly worse at 5th. And they even get 5 of their 6 'toughest' opponents at home. Chiefs, Ravens, Eagles, Bengals and Bucs all have to go to Buffalo while their only 'tough' road game is in Houston (and hopefully one in Foxborough). They've got to go to Pittsburgh for Week 13 but I don't really think at this point there's all that much to sweat about playing a Rodgers led team the end of November

So Washington, should trade their best offensive weapon for diarrhea and next year's 2nd?
I don't think he'll actually hit the trade market. But if he did I don't think he'd command a 1 so as much as you want to make fun of Polk and Baker that's probably the best they could get. Not to get greedy but I would probably only offer 2 of the 3, So one vet and one young option plus the pick. It seems like enough to me and one or 2 wind up cut there too so it doesn't really change the value much for the 3rd one to be there.

That's the thing. The rest is speculum.

Man, signing that guy for some depth would make me feel tons better.

I hear you about depth (or more importantly lack thereof) but really how would signing Alexander help the Pats with CB depth? Unless you're talking depth on the IR list. In the past 4 seasons he has been available for 34 of 68 regular seasons games

Between him and Carlton Davis they should be able to piece together a full season.

Bengals screwed yet another defensive player. Pratt requested a trade or release before the beginning of the league year but the Bengals sat on his rights until the FA frenzy money largely dried up.
