Whatever it is/was…I’m all for it.
I heard Taylor Kyles opining yesterday that he would rather have the Pats not go to the SB, rather than go and get demolished, likely by the Rams.

I thought he made some good points, and was inclined to agree with him. It could be the proverbial turd on the punch bowl end to a great season.

Now…

I’m not so sure.

I know historically the losing team in the SB tends to have a drop off because they got SO close, and finishing second is just the first loser.

Would that be the same with the Pats?

They will have a tougher schedule next year win or lose.

I still think the Maye/Vrabel combo is going to attract FAs to the Pats.

The Pats still have cap space and a well-run draft/FA team.

The Pats were heavy underdogs to the Rams in the first dynasty yet were able to pull it out, and as Ricky Proehl correctly predicted before the game, “you are witnessing the birth of a new dynasty.”

So what does everyone here think about that?

You can’t win it if you aren’t in it!
Playoff experience is important, and losing can be a great motivator moving forward.

I lived thru 85 (no chance really) and 96 (what shoulda / coulda been).

You dont give up a ticket to "The Dance."

This would be…wild. I’m all for it..

I'd like to not talk about dynasties before they win a playoff game. Ricky Proehl ran his mouth about the dynasty being born, how'd that work out?

What a spoiled thing to state

I think winning a playoff game and going down fighting doing it would be a scenario I could live with, especially since, as you said, I think that would definitely help them in free agency. I think most guys would be happy to play for Vrabel and guys who want to both get paid and be productive would view Maye as a good opportunity. I think the tide will turn there, and I'm excited to see what they do over the offseason.

That said, definitely curious to see how these final six games go. If Brown can be solid and Lowe can be serviceable, the season is certainly still far from over.

Very OT:
Just curious which website you reference when you create the "Player Props" for the Sportsbook.
thanks

I will use this opportunity to mention an underrated hero for us, Andres Borregales.

Do we now have one of the best kickers in the league?

Let’s see if he can make a long FG into a blinding snowstorm.

As an aside, the presence of Borregales, Ashby, and Bryant are reasons I love having the Pats with a lot of late picks in a deep draft.

That's my biggest concern with him. Does he turn into a pumpkin come December? And until we see him kick in nasty weather no one truly knows. I hope this kid works out, would like not to have to worry about a kicker for the next 10 years.

Please be the Bills and Dolphins.

The wording of her report: "expected to have interest in talking to Bill Belichick"

The league source is so 3 Rings lmao. Guess he thinks Bill is buying him another fake ring for landing him a job. Or bringing in a mean deli sandwich for Bill which is the one thing he was good at.

Still the biggest issue is the loss of Milton Williams.
