I'm with the Raiders fans who think the refs have it out for them (except for Spygate) because Al is a NFL rogue. The refs know that they only get kudos on their report card for sticking it to the Raiders.

Honestly, THIS is exactly why Spygate sticks in my craw so much.

It is an honest to god, media cherry picking witch hunt. It's so god damn obvious is makes me sick.

Gasper say in his hack piece that he doesn't want to hear from Patriots fans the everybody does it excuse, but what he doesnt admit, NONE of the media losers do, is that their are other coaches and executives that admit as much! But............ IT IS NEVER REPORTED!! EVER!

Why is that? Why is it never reported that it's actually NOT illegal to steal signals?

Why are some of the facts never reported, while continued speculation (cheating?) thrown out there to feed the negative speculation?

If Belichick needs to come clean, he's not the only one. There are a hell of alot of reporters that need to come clean as well.

They don't want Bill to come clean about spygate. He did already. They didn't listen. They want him to prostrate himself in front of a cackle of mediots who are his intellectual inferiors. I want Tomasse and ESPN to come clean about sypgate. Hell will freeze over first. I want to know who their league sources who leaked confidential information were and who Tomasse's source was on the walkthrough fantasy and I want to know who in the league offices leaked one of the JETS tapes to Jay Glazer when he worked for Fox although he has since landed with the NFLN... - even if it was the commissioners Fox anchor wife...

The self important Peter King was just on with Dale and Holley and while they don't have the stones to attack him in real time Holley at least pointed out how disingenuous it is that he failed to delve deeper into the Roethlisberger suspension background story in his "paean" (that must be greek for ballwashing) to the commissioner given he's competing in the SB King is in Dallas to cover this week. And Dale, the president of the Peter King fan Club, is even agreeing with him. They are both saying it certainly gives you reason to ponder the conspiracy theories Patsfans engage in.

The thing there is no logic to this argument. If Belichick had tapes of any wrong doing other than the accused tape of defensive signals, why would he ever had turned it over to Goodell in the first place? Say you are caught robbing a bank and you cut a deal with the procecutor for a sentence for the crime as long as you turn over all the evidence of the crime, you aren't going to include evidence of a murder you committed. It is highly unlikely that Belichick would have turn over evidence of unfounded accusations like videotaping the Rams' walkthrough or audio tapes of opposing lockerrooms.

The only reason Goodell would destroy the tapes to cover anything up is if the rumors were true that the Pats caught other teams on camera doing the same thing as the Pats (videotaping signals from the sidelines). That is the only conspiracy theory that makes sense. I am sure Belichick would happily turn over evidence of other teams cheating to show it was prevelant in the NFL and there is obvious reasons why Goodell would not want that proof to get out.

I don't know if I believe that theory either. But if that happened, Belichick and the Pats really took a huge hit to preserve the integrity of the league and Goodell should keep his mouth shut.

As for the Gasper story, Belichick should continue what he is doing - ignore it. Nothing he could do now will do anything other to keep this story lingering.
