Except that the fact that Wynn is also hurt and won't be able to participate in mini camp, making it even more unlikely that he ends up as the starting LT. Nobody knows anything about Cannon status either, all we know is that he can't practice now either, so right now, the Pats have a guy they just traded for in Brown and Cranston as tackles. YIKES!!!

Waddle is our default at LT. We also added Tobin. Also, we have Jelks as a long shot. Have you forgotten all three?

Another guy to miss his rookie season bites the dust.

C'mon Ted. Since when has missing rookie minicamp been a good reason for a player being "unlikely" to start.

I'm bummed. Can't imagine how he feels

So, basically the Pats have nothing.

Dont cry for me New England.

Garcia lost 40 lbs during treatment. He is cleared to play since March. Another team with time to spare until Garcia gets back into game shape could very well pick him up.

He failed his physical which was used as the reasoning for his release

He lost 40more pounds? What's he trying out for, running back?

A physical exam clearing him to play football for NE this season. 40 pounds underweight is not ready to play for the Pats. Denver used to use lighter OL back when Terrell Davis was playing because they were quicker.

Lineman particularly are to maintain a certain weight. Mike Shanahan got rid of Haynesworth because he came to camp as a fat ***.

Yes - he tweeted out that he was cleared to play and was cut a week later with the team citing the reason was not football related.

Are you saying the Pats cut him because he was too skinny?

You guys can save the melodramatics. Garcia will land on his feet and be fine.
Drama has nothing to do with it.

It's clear the team felt he was not going to be healthy enough .

If you want to disagree with that fine.

The fact they cut a 3rd Rd pick who was on a cheap contract who played a position in need speaks volumes.

Just a reminder that Garcia weighed-in at 303 lbs at the Combine. Not "skinny".

Whatever health issues befell him that caused him to lose weight occurred well after that point.
