That is a very interesting observation pats60. Spires notwithstanding (he was a spare part at best with the Pats), since Patten was on IR, all those big names (under the BB reign) Law, Milloy, Bledsoe, Andruzzi, Woody, certainly didn't step into success with other teams. And their departure didn't ruin the Pats either, despite one prediction after the other of imminent collapse upon their leavings.
I've already said it on another thread - Givens will publicly admit he misses the winning environment in Foxboro long before his contract with the Titans expires, for they are doomed to mediocrity due to the transition away from McNair and because of having to play in the Colts division. DG will be lucky if he ever sees the playoffs again. I hope someone asks him years from now if the $4-5mil difference over five was really worth giving up the chance to play on a winning team.
