After yesterday, my thoughts are directed to the possibility that the Pats might switch away from a 5 WR and 3 TE roster to a 4 WR and 4 TE roster. Reasons:

1) Watson can be used as a WR - - the guy is an amazing swing-man here.

2) We are currently still a bit understaffed at WR and there aren't many good FA WR's left out there.

3) TE's can do more on ST's

4) We had relatively poor time of possession last year compared to previous years

Well, there are at least three good one left in hte draft:
Hass
Avant
Demetirous WIlliams

add one of the above to:

Jackson
Branch
Caldwell
Brown
Childress
Johnson

and I don't see us as understaffed.

BB has gone with 6 WRs at least twice in his stay in NE. I understand the value of splitting Watson out, but NE is still bassically a 2-TE offense, and that will be Watson's main value, as TE. THe best way to bust up cover-2 defense is with TEs.

4 reliable WR's + Day 2 draft choice WR's + Childress and Bethel = The Patriots with only 4 reliable options currently at WR.

BTW, a 2 TE offense set requires more TE's than a single TE offense set.

I'd love to draft Hass then trade Bethel for high day 2 pick next year. Branch, Jackson, Caldwell, Brown, Hass sounds good to me.
