Bourne's the team's best receiver. We haven't seen enough of Parker in a Patriots uniform to place him at WR1. Meyers doesn't have the skill set to be a true WR1. Agholor is the team's WR4 (which isn't a bad spot for a player of his caliber). So Bourne is the WR1 (if for no other reason than by default).

Imagine if any other team benched an entirely healthy WR1 or WR2... let's say for example Miami had benched Hill or Waddle... both of whom were essential to Miami beating the Patriots on Sunday. Add in too, say Waddle comes in for 1 measly play and immediately rips off a 40-yard reception, making his absence otherwise all the more apparent. We would kill whichever head coach could be so thickheaded. And he would deserve it in spades.

Ive heard the same but We will never know for sure. Everything with butler even to this day is shoddy at best. If true though , not good!

Remember that rather important game several years ago where the Pats played the symbolic birds of America, the Pats QB threw for well over a quarter of a mile, Pats D got eviscerated while a year-long starter sat the whole game and there was a thread about the whole debacle here with many, many, many pages that went on for a very long time?

How is this sort of thing any kind of surprise at all w/this team after that?

There needs to be better balance, Parker can't be getting 57 reps next game. I think we're moving in that direction.

Especially in that heat, it's ridiculous that the same WR was out there on every offensive play. I swear there's a lack of basic exercise physiology going on in the Pats sometimes. I'm flabbergasted.
