Freddy wants to be back; Bring him back!

wasnt he signed for 2 years?

I don't see why you don't bring him back. Yes he's old. Draft Ben Tate and let Taylor mentor while Maroney can show him what you DON'T do. Slowly work Tate into the mix, with the idea of making him the feature back, and bearing more of the load for Taylor as the season wears on. However, if we draft a back, who goes? Morris? Trade Maroney? I'd love to give Taylor another shot, loved the way he was running in the Jacksonville game. It was clear he had lost a step, but he still runs with decisiveness and a bit of anger. Maroney could learn a thing or two.

Taylor is the only lock of the entire RB corps IMO,including Faulk

I have no problem w/ Taylor comming back- as a backup. 100 or so carries is all I would expect a 34 year old body can handle.

Okay by me.

I'd bring him and Faulk back, Faulk especially for leadership alone. I think we get by for one more season as is but IMO we'll have to upgrade after.

I like Fred. He was consistent when healthy.
After the injury not so much.

Rb corps for next yeat.
-CJ Spiller(get him with the first);
-Fred Taylor(backup);
-Faulk(just on pass situations).

Weird. Why would a creaky old veteran want to play on the Green Concrete that is Gillette Stadium? No grass teams that want him?

The field turf stuff they use now really isn't that bad. it has a little bit of bounce to it, but is a lot more forgiving than a frozen grass field on a 10 degree day in december. Add in the fact that you dont have the footing issues (Houston) asides from getting a little slick, and some could be compelled to argue that its easier on the players.

It isn't AstroTurf. You're the first person to date that I've seen call FieldTurf "green concrete." It's synthetic grass, not carpet.

Fred will absolutely be in camp. Who knows after that, but there's no way you send him packing after how well he played out of the gate this year.

I dont know, Im not a fan of the whole RB by comittee aproach. Id rather get a Back through the draft and keep Faulk and Morris.

I'm in the minority but I think the RB's are fine as they are. Wouldn't mind an upgrade, but given the needs I wouldn't mind entering 2010 with the same backfield.

He was looking really good while he was healthy. It seemed right as he was getting going good he got hurt. I wonder how the Indy game or the Miami game would've ended had he of been there. I hope to see Freddy T back with the Pats.

Lets move on to younger talent. Enough of the dinosaur display. Give BJGE a chance this year. Obviously, Maroney wasn't the answer. I believe he has danced and fumbled his way off this team.

BJGE has gotten plenty of chances. Unfortunately he's just a JAG. I'd be suprised if he made it through another camp.
