Whoa, hold on a second. I agree it was a good draft, but let's see how it pans out before we call it the best. The 1995 draft might be the best: Ty Law, Ted Johnson, and Curtis Martin, 1,2,3.Eliot Wolf put the grading system for player evaluation in place, and it led to the best draft they have ever had. Hate him all you want, but that’s the truth of the matter.

I'm big on the 2000 draftWhoa, hold on a second. I agree it was a good draft, but let's see how it pans out before we call it the best. The 1995 draft might be the best: Ty Law, Ted Johnson, and Curtis Martin, 1,2,3.
Also suggesting Wolf was the big difference between last offseason and this one is peak foolishness when he was here for both… he’s been here dominating personnel since 2021 to be more precise.Whoa, hold on a second. Ray Charles could have seen Vrabel’s in charge.. Wolf even asking Vrabel and Cowden were they ok with the pick when on the clock for kyle Williams is believe it was?..Also suggesting Wolf was the big difference between last offseason and this one is peak foolishness when he was here for both… he’s been here dominating personnel since 2021 to be more precise.
Anyone who actually watched Forged In Foxboro can see the difference. Vrabel is in charge period. Cowden’s opinion seems to be one of great authority.
Don’t know how anyone could watch that and say Wolf had some domineering presence, seemed pretty meek to me.
Could be wrong but it would take a bit of imagination to infer otherwise. Vrabel even seemed to defer to Cowden when Wolf asked his opinion. I think Cowden is Vrabel’s guy and it’s only a matter of time.
Wolf appeared like a guy auditioning for a job with Vrabel and Cowden. We’ll see if Wolf is extended once his contract ends.
I think episode 2 is this week? Looking forward to this series how ever long the organization wants to show it.. your exactly correct on your observation..I finally watched it last night. I really enjoyed it. A few observations.
1. When Wolf received phone calls from teams about trading he would tell them he’d check and get back to them, then he would hang up and look to his left and explain the proposal to Cowden, one of the times Vrabel even looked at Cowden and said what do you want to do.
2. The scouts were in the draft room, Eliot even asked one of them who he thought they should pick, of course he said the guy he scouted. Bill would bring the scouts back after the college season and meet with them in February and they were done until the new season, they weren’t part of the draft.
3. Cam Williams and Eliot Wolf when they spoke to the draft picks on the phone would say the same thing to each draft pick, either let’s go or are you ready to go, Vrabel on the other hand would actually talk to the player.
I was wondering when episode 2 would air. As I was watching it I was thinking I may have to head down to training camp this summer.I think episode 2 is this week? Looking forward to this series how ever long the organization wants to show it.. your exactly correct on your observation..
When the Williams pick was in.. Wolf defers to Vrabel and Cowden saying are you guys ok with this pick.. that right there made it emphatically know that Vrabel’s running the show. Streicher also plays an integral part.
I went to camp took my son last summer.. ugh what a terrible offensive showing by Brissett.. should have been a sign of things to come last season. But yes definitely do so.. take the commuter rail it was great, no traffic headaches, we went to patriots place also.I was wondering when episode 2 would air. This doesn't fit with how I've heard the war room was set up. From what I remember they did have a very small group in the war room but the scouts would be just outside the room so they could ask them for information on demand.2. Hot takes is one of the worse things to happen to sports analysis. It's no longer about truth but rather what stands out the most.Of course they don’t, they are trying to be Felger and Mazz.
It was mentioned that Bill had a very small staff in comparison to how organizations operate now. I loved Bill just like you did.. even the best of best have to adapt to the times when it comes to scouting and development. It's all good though.. he's still the GOAT.This doesn't fit with how I've heard the war room was set up. I go to several every year for junkies like us it's a great way to get a fix.I was wondering when episode 2 would air. As I was watching it I was thinking I may have to head down to training camp this summer.
SBB I envy you.. you don't have to deal with the Boston traffic as you live close to the stadium.. you lucky guy..I go to several every year for junkies like us it's a great way to get a fix.
I live so close though and I've got it down exactly when to leave my house and where to park and where to go to squeeze an extra seat. I arrive after the stretching period and throwing to air. Usually during individual drills just before they get into 7 on 7s and 11 on 11s.
Definitely a great thing to do with the family too but that's a whole different investment in time and even though it's free to attend they'll still get your money if you're a group between waters and food and the pro shop lol.
Yeah he did have a significantly smaller group but honestly other than it being a talking point I'm not exactly sure what the bigger group does that Bill's staff didn't.It was mentioned that Bill had a very small staff in comparison to how organizations operate now. I wouldn't call it a phobia but I'm not really a big fan of cities lol. Why don't you guys just spread out a little more.SBB I envy you.. you don't have to deal with the Boston traffic as you live close to the stadium.. you lucky guy..
Just curious, do you think BB was deferring when he asked the same thing here?
Or is it maybe just possible that's war room talk for 'Speak now or forever hold your peace'?
True. Bill was on fire for a while with draft picks.. he couldn't miss.. however not just bill, but for any GM when a organization consecutively misses year after year is really hampers an organization..and we have lived it since 2020.Yeah he did have a significantly smaller group but honestly other than it being a talking point I'm not exactly sure what the bigger group does that Bill's staff didn't.
I don't think size was Bill's problem I think there were a ton of other factors some random and some that were on him as to why he had some very lean years drafting.
