I commend Cam Williams and his staff for doing all the grunt work and digging to provide to wolf, and cowden in order for them to perform thier grading systems. NFL scouts are so undervalued. It's amazing what happens when you don't ignore the scouting reports.

Nah, he just makes the phone calls they tell him to. Maybe Denver promised to let him make photocopies too?

I did watch the draft portion of the video pretty closely.

That was a Cowden/Vrabel/Highsmith joint. Elliot Wolf was there to make phone calls.

Eliot Wolf put the grading system for player evaluation in place, and it led to the best draft they have ever had. Hate him all you want, but that’s the truth of the matter.

Wolf’s title is Executive Vice President of Player Personnel. Technically he’s the highest ranking person in the organization that isn’t a Kraft. But the reality is that Wolf’s job is to help Vrabel build the team he’s trying to build, and he defers final decisions to Vrabel because he has said that he “isn’t going to force anyone on him.” Cowden is Vrabel’s guy, and he could have more influence on decisions than Wolf as such, but we don’t know that. And Cowden is not Wolf’s boss, and you made it sound as if he was.

Nah, he just makes the phone calls they tell him to. Maybe Denver promised to let him make photocopies too?
seems like a bit more than a secretary to me.. does wolf take credit for his job too now?

You sure it was the best draft? Ever?

I don’t know, you agreed with OneIfBySea that Wolf was just a secretary, then you agreed with me that he was integral to their draft. And therein lies the problem 02’, you agree with everyone, even when they are on polar opposite sides of an argument. But I’ll give you credit, you can never be wrong when you take all sides of any position.

What’s your source for that?

Once again you post something with no attribution.

Well as usual huck.. you idilolize your personal feelings over something and say every one is wrong for stating thier own opinions. I don't fault you though that's what makes you unique. However I typically agree with yourself, One-If-By-Sea, and TommyD4207.. becuase you all make good points in your post.. I'm an open minded poster i feel like it's best to see everyone's side. On my attributing material it's called Google search..

was pretty good, but could do without shoving Elliot Wolf down our throats

I’ll still take Vrabel.

And poor rodents.

Aaron Glenn didn’t make the list. Looks like he is lumped with the others on the bottom tier.
Me too.

The Bears have been down this road before with Nagy and 2 QBs - Tribisky and Fields.

Aaron Glenn didn’t make the list by himself. Looks like he is lumped in with the others on the bottom tier.
It looks like there are way better bets than those top 7.

Ben Johnson would be more hard pressed with a QB who didn't want to be drafted to Chicago.. and he played like it..
I was open to a trade down if we were offered a king’s ransom, which we were not, but with the people we had running things last year they likely would have squandered the bounty.

Think the Giants wish they had offered more now?

In any event, I ranked the QBs as Maye, Daniels, and Williams, in that order.

I’m glad that Williams didn’t slide to the Pats.

Agreed.. I remember the Giants really wanted Drake.. and im glad the organization stayed put.. I remember hearing reporting at the time that JK was adamant on taking a QB at 3. Williams is talented, but something was off with his game last season. He seemed as if he didn't trust his eyes. He has a ransom of weapons around him too. Considering all Drake had to deal with last season he was the most impressive IMO.

Sure, if you're talking about the actual best coach, but the award usually goes to the coach that has the largest team turn around, which eliminates coaches on established teams.
I agree but Vrabel at +850 compared to most others at twice that just doesn't seem like a good pot odds. But I don't usually like the pot odds on most sports bets anyway. Not that I'm good at poker or horse racing but I generally save my gambling budget for those.
