It's easy, and only takes a few moments. They were exempt from being forced because they hired a new HC.Was excellent and most likely diminishes the likelihood of the Patriots doing Hard Knocks. It's basically Hard Knocks but done with the Patriots own media team. TAKE THAT NFL!!
Yeah. New HC's don't need to do Hardknocks and neither do playoff teams. We very likely would have been a major candidate for it if Mayo was retained. Tbh if Aaron Rodgers didn't join the Jets, there was a very good chance we might have been on it in Belichick's final year (so thankgod that didn't happen)They were exempt from being forced because they hired a new HC.
They just removed that rule this year. Now the only teams that can't be forced are teams that (1) have a newly-hired HC or (2) did it in the past 10 years.Yeah. I wonder as the delay gets shorter how often it is they get a player on the phone and need to tell them to wait for just a moment cause as they were about to turn in the pick they get a last second offer... seems like this almost happened here as they were down to the wire.Turned down a solid trade offer to stay and take TreVeyon. I think the right move because the drop was 21 spots. Rather take the possible game breaker type player.
They clearly have high hopes for Farmer.
Loved the show, I know it's edited with a positive slant but enjoyed it nonetheless. Looking forward to next episode.
It was a great watch. This team is going places under Vrabel. Good look at the interplay between Vrabel, Cowden and Wolf. Wolf and Cowden have very different personality types. You can tell how much Wolf geeks out over the draft. Its in his blood. He has a sort of a nerd persona. Cowden is more measured and stoic, but they seem to work well as a team.
70+ minutes.
I think Wolf was displayed very good in it. He was heavily involved and worked well with Vrabel and Cowden.. then again everyone knows they would be on camera as well so there's always that factor too.Really looking forward to watching it when I get home tonight. And it will be interesting to see if it has any impact on the way Wolf has been seen by Patriot fans? It sounds like this is similar to the Hard Knocks they did with the Giants, where it was all about the offseason, with a strong focus on free agency and the draft, which I think is much more interesting than the training camp Hard Knocks shows.
As difficult as it may have been for Kraft to fire Mayo, THAT is a big boy move that could actually move him closer to the HOF.Damn. I live in Maine, and I do everything I can to get as much out of every nice day that I can. I don’t wish away a minute of the spring or summer. But all I watched was the intro to that and it had me salivating for football. And even though I’m not a big fan of Kraft I have to give him all the credit in the world for firing Mayo when you know he hated having to do it, and convincing Vrabel to take over this team. This is the right guy at the right time, both in terms of Vrabel’s career, where he now has experience as a head coach, and a clear vision of what he wants this team to be, and how to get there. And it’s the right time for the Patriots, where they went through the trauma of firing the GOAT, the end of the Dynasty, half a decade of sucking, and the clown show that was 2024, with the ridicule that went with it, and the franchise reputation in the gutter. They now have their franchise QB and a coach that knows what he’s doing. Free agency and the draft were excellent, and by all accounts there is a sense of urgency and excitement around the program that will hopefully lead to a really competitive camp, and a winning season. The only downside for me is that I hate being indoors on a beautiful fall afternoon, and I’m going to find it really hard to wait until I’m done with my day to kick back and watch the game that night. That said, there are worse problems in life, I guess that’s called “ a first world problem.”
Excellent showing.. i think this is something they are running all season right? Vrabel and Cowden are clearly the shot callers from my view point.
I strongly disagree but obviously hindsight is 20/20. I just don't see the value in taking a RB that early. No other RB got taken until the tail end of the 2nd. They might have still been able to get him at 58 or they still had talent like Mike Green still available. We aren't 1 player away. Big mistake IMO.Turned down a solid trade offer to stay and take TreVeyon. I think the right move because the drop was 21 spots. Rather take the possible game breaker type player.

I am 20 minutes in.
