I am trying to find out what the first sport in America was would like to get answer for my kid. thanks
 
I think it was lacrosse. The Native Americans started it.

Actually it has proven to be very accurate, or so I hear.

I usually go there for most information and they have never steered me wrong.
 
Didn't the Aztecs chop off heads and play a form of basketball with them?

I don't think that they dribbled- strictly a passing game.

Yeah, the Mayans did play a game that was a mix of soccer and basketball (or rollerball without the skates). Up north, in what is canada today, they played bandy.
 
its lacrosse, im a big lacrosse player and i actually did a report on it for the school newspaper in college haha ....they played on fields that were miles long and matches would last days. They would use lacrosse games to resolve tribal disputes..kinda interesting
