If you're going to go up to pick #10, Trent Richardson without a doubt. This guy will tear up the league and would be an unbelievable commodity for when Mallett takes over from Brady.

Pass rushing class is overrated, as is the DT class. I wouldn't touch a WR that high given the number of picks we have and depth at the position.

That's if he's even there. I could see Cleveland taking him, and maybe even Tampa.

He could, with his speed, play OLB or you could put him inside with Spikes and keep Mayo outside. Kuechly has an uncanny ability to shake off blockers and make tackles.

We have two sophomore RBs. Maybe we can grab a cheap vet in FA.

Yes we do, but think about it. Ridley provides depth in the offense, but is really a core ST player.

Vereen duplicates what we get from Woodhead, but Vereen projects to excel as a kick returner and as a backup for Woodhead.

This the need for a front line RB still remains. The things I like about Rishardson are that he runs with explosion, authority and vision. He can catch, he does not have to come off the field on second and 7 if we call a passing play.

And most important, on third and ten, Richardson can stay on the field because he can pick up blitzers or provide viscious chip blocks on delayed routes out of the backfield. And once Richardson gets the ball in space, most DB's are going to struggle to bring him down.

I still remain hesitant to trade two picks for a RB, but a draft of

1st = RB - Richardson Alabama
#48 = OLB/ILB Hightower Alabama
#63 = C Jones Georgia
#95(4) = traded to Cincy for a 2013 3nd rounder and a 5th in 2012
4th Round = CB Prater Iowa
5th Round = OLB Bequette Arkansas

miles burris also has that ability. I like this kid so much. Can play OLB, probably also ILB, rush the passer, has great closing speed, great great tackler. I'll take him in the 4th.

Yep, Kuechly or Trent Richardson. Kuechly reminds me of Bruschi and i think he could come in and be a big time contributor from day 1, whereas with Bruschi there was a fairly long learning curve to change positions. Richardson is a franchise back who would make it impossible for defenses to key on the pass. It's really really unlikely Belichik would ever make such a move but those would be my choices.

i love the talk of packaging our 2 first round picks and getting up to around 10 or 11.

I wouldn't trade 2 1sts either. I think a slight trade up in the 1st is good if we can target and land a stud. Then we can trade #31 for a current 2nd and future 1st. Business as usual.

The one guy that intrigues me is Dontari Poe. 6'4 346 lbs and he ran a 4.96 40 and had 44 bench reps? The guy looks like the second coming of Ngata. Imagine Wilfork and Poe on the same line? Opposing teams might as well just give up on the run game between the hashes. LOL. Their only chance would be to stretch it out, and Mayo has the range to hunt down and sniff out stretch plays when he has that much beef in front of him.

I'm on the Wallace wagon but, at the same time, you're going to have to pay him some money and I'm not happy in potentially committing between $15-20 million at WR. Then you have to take into consideration how Welker will feel whilst we're offering him less than he would like and then go give a guy who has never been in the system a long term deal over him. It would almost mean the end for Welker as a Patriot in my eyes. You have to have one or the other.
