I think he actually hates Boston. I remember him beating his chest and proclaiming how Bostonians are envious of New Yorkers.

But, hey, Boston hated him first. And he can't just leave...no other town would take his sorry ass.

I'd be surprised if he didn't hate his own kids. He's a football know nothing who takes the lazy way out by getting clicks and hits by pissing off Pats fans with his outrageous columns that lack real journalistic research.

I am a Patriots fan living in Atlanta. The Falcons fans and local sports media has made me HATE the Falcons. If I ever hear the nickname "Matty Ice" again it will be too soon. I am rooting more for a Falcons loss than a Patriots win.

Fuk the Falcons........they're part of the ****head deflategate brigade

#1 D vs #1 O

while

#3 O vs #27 D

balance will crush the falcons......but hey, there's always the participation trophy

GFY

Class act. Whatever you do don't read Dan "Shank" Shaughnessy's ********. He's a frustrated baseball fan who hates the Pats while getting other fan bases pissed off. His latest game is piss of the Patriot opponents to 1) minimize the accomplishments of thePats while 2) giving the opposing team bulletin board material. Tell your fellow Atantonians to ignore this doo-bag
I'm in the minority in Boston, but I actually think both Shank and Felger are funny as hell. When I read his article I laughed my ass off. They are both correct about Atlanta too. My cousin lives in Atlanta and he thinks there as many transplanted Pats fans and other team fans as Atlanta fans. Even if Atlanta wins 45-7 it won't matter. Same thing if Carolina had won last year, it would not have mattered that much.

show me their Lombardi
There are a lot of teams that don't have a Lombardi 16 years ago we used to be one. That doesn't mean they are not a historically great offense that can beat the pats if they play well. I expect the patriots to win but I would never say a team that made it to the superbowl, especially one that just hung 44 points in a conference championship game, has proved Bupkis. They are a worthy opponent that I would like to hear football minds break down.

they are going to get smoked. Then their fans will get back to listening to their favorite country music festival or marathon.

You can be over confident if you want I prefer to follow my coach and respect every opponent. You'll forgive me for assuming the 8th best scoring offense of all time has a shot in the game. I posted not because I think the pats are going to lose but I want to learn about how they are going to win. Is it purely the Julio Jones show or are the falcons 4 quality WR's deep like GB in 2014?

it's not overconfidence..........this is the Pats game to win/lose and there's nothing the Falcons can do about that except hope the Pats cough up a hairball...in the playoffs, the Pats averaged 35ppg against top 10 defenses......it is not overconfidence to assume that they should go 40-50 against the 27th ranked defense in the NFL

It's Atlanta. It's like if Jacksonville made the Super Bowl.. Like Felger says (I know everyone hates Felger) Atlanta is a terrible sports town, not a team from a place that matters like Boston, GB, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Chicago, New York.. etc.. The only NFC team I think that would have made a lessor Super Bowl are the Lions imo.
Maybe it's just me but I couldn't give less ****s about "the atmosphere" of the game. I think the Falcons are a very interesting football team and one that could put on a very entertaining game with the Pats. That's really what I care about.

Maybe one of the 6 Falcons fans can answer this for me:

Seriously, what's the deal with all the stadiums y'all got down there? Both your baseball team and your football team will be playing in their 3rd stadium of the past 25 years.

I had business in Atlanta this past May and the office I was visiting was within 2 miles of the new baseball stadium. Seems to me like the worst place imaginable to put a baseball stadium. Zero access, way outside the city, no parking, no public transportation - and all to replace a 20 year old facility that they can't sell out anyway. WTF were you people thinking???

Oh, so the Fenway model, then?

I am not sure I consider Fenway to be "way outside the city." Also, you can easily walk to many avenues of public transportation.

And while I am the first to admit Fenway is far from ideal, it is 100 years old so it was not exactly built to replace a stadium built in the 1990's which was already doing the job in a far, far better location.

What Atlanta did with the Braves would be like Boston saying "You know what? The TD Banknorth Garden is too old, so let's build a new facility just off 495 in Marlborough right next to those corporate parks."

honestly I have no clue. It's annoying. The falcons wanted a venue not owned by the Georgia world Congress center. That part I get. As for the braves who knows

You guys did it backwards. The baseball stadium should be downtown (smaller crowds, 81 games a year) and the football stadium should be in the suburbs (much larger crowds, but only ~10 dates per year).

I have been to the GA Dome and it seemed a bit crammed into its current location. The new football stadium looks gorgeous, albeit unnecessary. It is the baseball stadium that completely baffles me.

I've always viewed the Falcons as a team without much real identity, sort of like Tampa Bay and Jacksonville.

They seemed pretty unique when Vick was in his prime, even though they are probably a better team with Ryan.

blank was going to put the stadium elsewhere but Atlanta magically came up with like 500 mill to help pay for the new stadium on the condition it stays in Atlanta. As for the braves venue yeah you got me.

I've been a huge fan of Tru since he came in. So underrated. Inside/outside, he can do it all.
Big fan of Neal as well.

I'd go Defense heavy in this years draft. Find a counter for Vic. Another dlinemen who can get after the QB, preferably another edge.

You guys are very close on D

Ah yes, using one community to get money from another. We are rather familiar with that maneuver.
