and yet another insult what was uncalled for

Serious question... Why do you hang out on a patriots board nit picking things to call pats fans out on. Honestly , do you have that much of a complex? Do you feel that inferior?

The 2007 pats team has a prolific passing attack. Fans root for whatever strengths the current team has. The pats will be just fine in the elements. They do play here

Lastly you are a fan of a dome team. Half the year you are in perfect conditions. Honestly talk about delusional.

At least the pats actually play in the elements. Unlike Indy who is in there dome and taking trips to frozen tundras like Tampa , Texas , Jacksonville and Tenn

Guys, in MY MB world, " ;) " = "tongue in cheek". Just having fun, no need to flame. Funny though that our Downtown was packed for our 7 degree parade for our SB Champs, yet it just wasn't enough. So, darn right, I'm taking the low road, and stooping to another level. :p

And when the Pats won their first SB, 2 million people braved the same type of temperatures to celebrate in Boston, so what's your point?

I like to hang out here because the Pats have a great if not the best football team ever and our biggest rival to date, and where we play does not matter, not sure what you think its a big deal because im a fan of a dome team, what does that have to do with anything? I guess you didn't see us kick the Ravens ass in the rain the other night, we play well in th elements when given the chance, of course we didn't that last two playoff games in Foxboro but we have learned from those games, just chill I was just making a point that we can all talk without all the insults, no big deal to me I can take it, if thats just the way it is around here..

Boston is a little bigger then Indianapolis, so that is to be expected.

Anyone can access the Ticketexchange but unless you are on the waiting list you can't buy any tickets. I paid $200 to get on the waiting list but even paying face value for one game made that money back because Pats tickets usually go for 2-3 times face value on Ebay and Stubhub.

Regular ticketmaster is obviously open to anyone but probably only has whatever the visiting team returns.

I didnt buy off of ticketexchange, but how do they know if your on the list? is there an access code you need or something?

not true.
That's fine. I was basing it on the message I see every time I log in to TicketExchange. Pay special attention to the last paragraph... Not that I care, by all means any Pats fans should be able to get tix.

Yes, you have an account when you're a STH or on the waitlist.

BS- the Colts have played 3 games in the last 5 seasons in wintry weather and one of them happened to be last Sunday against a Ravens squad without their starting CB's. Care to be reminded of the other 2? They weren't pretty for Indy.

The only thing Indy learned from losing in Foxboro in January is to get HFA and play in the Dome because they don't stand a chance in Foxboro and they know it. That's why they made a big deal about HFA in '05 and playing at home in '06.

Seems they forgot the lesson because they choked away HFA in November and will have to dust off their longjohns for Foxboro :)

Someone buy me tickets and airfare... I'll call in sick on Sunday and go :p

well all you can do is play the games on our schedule..:D

I already mentioned the other two I am fully aware of them :D

we do seem to have playing in the rain down pretty good, its been awhile since we played in the snow, probably foxboro was the last time.

I stand corrected. My apologies, I guess I just need to start reading the fine print more often. :bricks:

Couple points here.

I went to the Miami game a few years ago in the snow and to be honest I am not sure I would want to be there again in a weather situation like that. The problem was not the roads - it was the walkways, the parking lots, and the steps.

We made sure we got to the terminals 4 hours before the game just as we always do so we missed the traffic. The problem was (for other people) that more than 1/2 the parking lots had not been plowed so people who came later had nowhere to park - some left their cars on rte 1, others parked illegally elsewhere, and a lot went home after sitting in traffic for hours. To be honest, this was the least of the problems that day.

On the way into the stadium there was little to no indication that any serious work had been done on the walkways and stairs. People were falling left and right - I distinctly remember a girl (maybe 12 or so) crying on the snow/ice after falling hard. also, my sister and I saw someone fall on the way in hard enough that they broke their arm (landed right on their elbow when feet went right out from under them). We saw dozens of people fall before even getting to the stadium. When we got to the pro shop area and headed up the stairs none were plowed. We saw people again falling and everyone struggled hard up the stairs. The more people went up the more treachorous the stairs became as the snow got mashed down and the footing more difficult. I remember thinking someone could have died due to those conditions. The conditions were a little better in the stadium, but not all that much.

I was quite relieved to get home that day without being injured. I wrote a letter to the team after the game complaining about the conditions but never got a response.

I wouldnt mock anyone for not wanting to go this week. Its not the weather - there have been plenty of bad weather games. Given the significance of the storm and the fact that most of the plow guys/sanders will be working state contracts for the storm wont be available to flow the stadium - its a risky proposition to go.

well at least you can post without an insult, that counts for something. and I didn't comment on a Pats fans attendance that was somebody else, it was a Pats fan that was talking about Colts fans attendance at the dome if the weather was this bad so It was appropriate for me to comment..
I don't ever think it's appropriate for a colts fan to post here, go to indystar with the rest of the trolls.

Curious, I wonder if there are some "fair weather" fans in Foxboro?? In Indy, we seem to get some flak because of our domed stadium, etc..., I would love to have an open air stadium, and be exposed to the natural elements. NE seems to embrace this setting, yet the fans are fleeing in response to the weather. I'm shocked:eek:

This storm is supposed to be pretty powerful...I heard it may be a once every 5 years magnitude. For the winter storms we get, that's pretty bad. For people to take responsibility for their health & safety over their fandom is ok in this case.

This is not a case of good vs. fair weather fans at all.

I'd bet 90% of Pats fans would rather attend a Patriots game on a cold snowy day than a cold, rainy & windy day....wouldn't you?

Don't know about you, but that combination of freezing rain, rain & 30mph winds with gusts to 45mph sound pretty ugly.
