Great listen with lots of insight including into the Chargers game and possible approaches and impacts. Revisits the issue of the day as well.

Tedy predicts ST should and will be huge. Also wonders if we won't be focusing on the run. Also thinks their RCB Caison is exploitable. And he expects that Rivers will be a makeable target given the overall struggles of their OL. Also talks about his belief that you don't add a veteran like Merriman to this team because they are coming together and making strides and that would just stunt the development he is seeing. Talks about Butler's struggles and how it remains to be seen if he can get things turned around and get back on the field. Said Mankins will be here in week 10 and while you don't disrupt the OL because cohesion and chemistry is such a big part of their performance (and team performance for that matter) he represents top end insurance down the stretch and heading into the playoffs. He says you hope as well that somehow they work it out long term.

He wasn't very high on this team heading into the season, but he clearly is excited by what he's seeing the last couple of weeks. Was surprised Branch and Brady were able to rekindle the chemistry that seemlessly, thinks Tate will see a reduced roll to what he anticipated after the Moss trade as a result. Says Mayo is the leader of this defense. Likes Spikes but he has work to do on recognition. He commented the other day that one of the (coaching) reasons to send him on blitzes was to take some of the decision making out of the equation for him until he's less inclined to bite on play action. Says Cunningham's athleticism as a pass rusher isn't something you can teach. Can get better setting the edge, but he is very high on both long term.

Talked about how Bill seemed energized coaching these youngsters. Said it's not the same as having a very veteran team where you pretty much know what you've got and you just get them the game plan. These are his babies and he's raising them from pups, which also makes the incremental successes that much more rewarding. Noted that even Branch was once one of his babies, a guy he raised from a pup...

Excellent listen! I know most people can't find this much time in a day, but if you can, give it a listen.
