ESPN 2013 2nd Half predictions

I agree with you that the Dline is what keeps the Jets secondary from being exposed more but the fact is they just held NO to 20 points and picked Brees twice. How much confidence do you have that the Pats Oline can take on a big, physical and athletic line and win? I'm not sold on it at all until I see them do it. Those types of lines have killed them this year. So in totality the Jets defense doesn't suck.

I'm sick of having to defend a team I hate so lets agree to disagree but I think you're letting your hatred of the Jets cloud your judgement.

New Orleans lost Darren Sproles early in the first quarter. Marquise Colston was inactive. Jimmy Graham is hobbled. This was a far from 100% Saints offense. Besides their o-line has been worse than the Pats' this year. I think the second they lost Sproles, they were in trouble since he was their quick dump off outlet which would have slowed down the pass rush.

If the Pats face the Jets again, they will have Vereen back to run a lot more quick passes and screens.

I am being pretty objective with the Jets (at least as much as a Pats' fan can). I have always said that you beat their d-line and you can kill their defense. I am not saying it is easy or the Pats can do it, but even this year the Pats' o-line has been effective at doing this this year. The o-line did very well in the first game and the first half of the second game. The addition of Vereen will help take pressure off of the o-line.

Personally, I think you are falling into the "Whenever the Pats face a strong d-line in the playoffs" and just assume they will kill this offense. Even not at full strength, this offense were able to exploit their secondary.
