Brees is 38, Manning played until he was 39. Favre played until he was 41. Testaverde and Moon played until they were 44.

Why don't Le Betard & company establish a cut off age for QBs? Is it 37? 38? Just so we have a baseline to know that, if someone is still playing after this age, they must be taking PEDs.

I didn't read every comment here so this may have been mentioned, but some steroids affect your cardiovascular system in a negative way. Tom looks fine in that regard.

Tom Curran has really turned into an absolute loser of late. I noticed a change recently and it has to be tied to the severe drop in ratings for the networks.

He literally just posted a piece called "Whispers Persist" about Brady, off of the LeBetard professional trolling tactic and defamation of Brady. Unbeliveable. How does Kraft let these people into the building? The bald moron with hair plugs has his own show with Mayo, too. Mayo also sort of sold out. It's just awkward that they're told to troll and they do it. Where is the integrity?

Yes, I am sure Brady is pumping PEDs after Framegate II and the knowledge we've all had for over a decade of Goodell openly tryin gto cheat our team, at literally, any turn with anything he can use to cheat. LeBetard, etc, sure make sense.

Meanwhile, 2 years ago the media was on some kind of a team cover-up approach, apparently ordered by Goodell, with regards to openly trying to help Manning cover all of that up.

In fact, the only guy who really was not in line with that edict, was Florio at NBC. But, now, Florio, too, who clearly has a direct line of contact with Curran, has ALSO turned into a media troll.

It's just unreal what is happening and how the Pats simply allow the defamation to continue.

Yeah, Drew Brees is 39 and you could make the argument that he is playing as well as Brady. People tend to completely forget that. I think times are changing and people are healthier.

Problem is that he is not a journalist nor does he claim to be. He is merely an opinion-ist. There really are no *ethical* considerations in play. The sleazebags at ESPN don’t give a damn whose reputation he tarnished so long as he gets ratings/clicks.

Threads like this one give him exactly what he wants.

Brees lost his hair due to Manning's PED connection with Guyer. See how easy it is to make things up and hope the media can run with a complete lie to make money off the lie?

Brady was 211 at the combine. His current weight's at 225. I look at him and he stil looks scrawny. Give me a break. His head still looks the same.

I was in Philly when Lenny Dykstra came back from his winter off with 40 lbs of extra muscle - most of which looked to be in his neck. Overt steroid use is not hard to notice...

So you didn't read the article, then, huh? If you're going to rant indignantly, at least have the courtesy to read what Curran wrote. It's a great piece.

What's so rare about what Brady's doing?

Agreed. Brees has been extremely consistent in NO. There are some things Brady does better (almost 70 fewer career INTs), but Brees has five 5000+ yard seasons, which is pretty impressive.

Barring injury, Brees will pass Manning and Favre to become the all time leader in passing yards 4 or 5 games into next season. Right now, both he and Brady are tied for third all time with 488 TD passes. A good year next season will move them both past Favre into 2nd place all time. One or both of them would need to play for 2 more years to pass Manning for 1st place.

I will absolutely not read Curran piggybacking off a troll like LeBetard. Absolutely not.

This is what some of you don't get. You clicking on that, proves that there is a market for trolling and trying to concoct ways to beat the Pats.

I can just see now during media row day, someone referencing LeBetard's defamation of Brady for a question and Brady needing to appear like a jerk for not answering such silliness, and then media and troll fans will turn around and"study" his response and body language, claiming he is hiding something or lying.

So, you can do whatever you want, but when I see Curran giving LeBetard some legitimacy by promoting "whispers", I am not reading his garbage article.

If I had Brady's fame and power, Bedard would have 2 broken knee caps right now

These people are disgusting animals that don't have an ounce of integrity. It's all about the "me me me! Everyone pay attention to me!" Personalities and media agendas

It's truly sickening. Break this guy's ****ing legs already.

    @Joker You busy this weekend?

I just wish Brees wasn't such a phony and that the media would at least call him on it.

    1. He has been Peyton Manning junior for a while now. All stats, all the time, crappy D, huge salary and him holding them hostage in NOs.

    2. He knew about the bounty program and lied.

    3. He insinuated Brady cheated with Deflategate by goinf on Conan and guessing measurements of the PSI in balls, nailing every single one (I don't believe it was staged). One might argue Brees is calling out the refs for not noticing, but I think Brees is jealous of Brady and the Pats.

. . . you are all ridiculous. I can't believe I cleared my ignore list after the last win in a moment of sweeping generosity. :p

Curran's article is a clear defense of Brady, and he compares the actions of LeBatard (not Bedard @JarOfMayo51 ) to "leaving a flaming bag of crap on someone’s stoop then walking away whistling." He details how the Patriots independently test every supplement that players take, including everything that's offered by Alex Guerrero. He also mentions that over the years he's verified that Brady is clean by corroborating numerous sources, but he thought it was disrespectful to put it out there because he didn't want even a hint of scandal. Now that others are airing groundless and irresponsible accusations, he said it's only right to provide accurate information to the contrary.

But somehow I'm the market for trolling ways. Okay.

Dude. Congratulations. You have literally become the greatest hater of....well....pretty much everything that this board has seen since the legendary days of the great NEM. Your team just made it to the Super Bowl, again! Might try to not be so angry all the time.
