Embrace the hate! Views from other fanbases

I just spent ten minutes reading the GangGrene message board. It was like reading the thoughts of ancient ape people bathing in bullsh$t.
They always have a fire (insert coach) thread, wonder why?

They were good for 20 years over a 10 year span?

that is a truly unique accomplishment!

Actually late 40’s through the mid 60’s. Sorry thought you were a Patriots fan not a Jets fan.

are you from S.F.? have you ever been to Boston?

When I was bringing my now ex wife over to meet my parents we flew into SF and had a long layover so I took her to see Alcatraz etc...

We took a bus from the airport to the city but got off the bus a block too early. What an embarrassing eye opener that was. Her first time in the US and we were literally walking around people sleeping on cardboard boxes. We walked past a guy peeing in the doorway of a store. I couldn't believe it. After walking by about thirty or forty homeless people we finally got to where we should have gotten off. After that it was nice. We took a taxi back just to be safe. Haha.

Boston is the best big city I've been to in the US. There is no comparison. SF is the 2nd worst. NYC is total dog shyt.

Deflect from what? Your ignorance of baseball history?
Your lazy or stupid post that the 1950s were 20 years long. And your follow up claiming that the ‘40s and ‘60s were part of the ‘50s.

just stop. Quit before you embarrass yourself any more.

btw FYI I’m familiar enough with the Yankees history, I remember watching them in the Worl Series during the ’60s, and remember well enough to know the ‘60s weren’t the ‘50s.

Years Yankees played in the World Series 1936-1964:

The Yankees have won, by far, the most World Series of any franchise, 27 for them, 11 for the Cardinals, 9 for the Red Sox and the Athletics (both Philly and Oakland). The Yankees were so dominant that their success spawned a great musical, Damn Yankees.

Imagine if the Yankees were good for 20 years.

DropKick only asked for 20 years, that looks more like 40. So, easy to imagine 20…

Pump the brakes, Methusaleh.

Poor kids wearing a jetes jersey, he doesn't realize hes doomed to a life of shame and misery.
He was just wearing it cuz his dad was there. Who knows what jersey hides under his bed?

There are some *massive* caveats I'm not going to get into.

Mac Jones reminds me a tiny bit of Tom Brady, a little bit of Mark Sanchez, and a little too much of Caillou.

Of course, the Sanchez comparison ["competent game manager aided by a strong defense"] doesn't quite hold up:

Sanchez: 15 games, 196/364 [53.8%], 2,444 yards, 12 TD/20 INT, 6.7 YPA, 63.0 passer rating, 32.8 QBR, –382 DYAR
Jones: 11 games, 245/349 [70.2%], 2,540 yards, 14 TD/8 INT, 7.3 YPA, 94.7 passer rating, 49.8 QBR, +216 DYAR
