I lived through the Archie years ... he received alot of sympathy. He was better than average ... not great ... and like his sons loved to throw INT's.
Do you mean that Archie threw a lot of INTs? If so, you can't compare QB stats then and now. For example Joe Namath had 173 TDs and 220 INTs and he's in the HOF. They used to let DBs pound the crap out of receivers all the way down the field. Now we have the 5 yard rule and the "Polian rules".
