If he's gone the 2009 draft is down to Chung and Vollmer. With Brace/Pryor oft-injured and who knows what we'll get from them if we ever do. I know 2-3 impact players is what you usually look for in a successful drafts but we did have alotttt of picks that year.

Depends on what the story is.

They stood by Willie Andrews—a similar "marginal" player—after his "first strike" (possession and intent to distribute); it wasn't till after his second strike (assault with a dangerous weapon) that he got cut.

That said, there is a non-zero chance that Edelman gets dumped over this.
