I think JE has proven himself to be a really useful player. Does a little bit of everything. I hope this isn't really as serious an injury as it sounds like it might be.

It sounds like a high ankle sprain to the untrained eye.

I wouldn't imagine that he'll be coming back before the playoffs to be honest.

I do think that Belichick will keep his roster spot, unless the news is just awful or he has a setback in the next few weeks.

Fitzy at townienews.com has just released the Edelman fan t-shirt. This is going to hurt sales.

High ankle is really a leg injury and usually loosly described as an ankle sprain. Foot opens up a whole other kettle of fish. Hard to say which is worse from a healing standpoint given what history has shown us where high ankle is concerned. Hernandez was said to be mild... They can't be diagnosed in a locker room and while the boot and crutches may have been precautionary the fact that Stallworth got a call mid day yesterday after more testing would have been completed isn't encouraging. And Schefter apparently commented while citing no sources during last nights pre game that Edelman's absence was anticipated to be an extended one. Maybe he was just educated guessing or maybe he has heard something.

Just assure me there was no amputation and I'm good
