No deal in hand...

Good news -- unfortunately we just spent our Ed Reed money on Kyle Arrington

I have a feeling that on Day 1 Bill reached out to Ed's agent and said, "Here's our offer, get back to us at your convenience, and keep it quiet." My gut says Ed will end up back in Baltimore, but there's a growing suspicion that Ozzie is ready to move on without him.

Still think I would rather have Pollard than Reed.

Could you imagine the carnage on the practice field if the pats actually signed pollard?!? No thanks.

he left for a previous engagement, they say they'll continue to talk.

Yup. I'd imagine he'd take the proposal to Baltimore first, see if they can match it. Just my opinion.

If the Ravens lose Reed on top of everyone else they've lost— man, that Thursday night opener, CBS (or whoever) will be like ... "can we pick another game?"

USA Today's Mike Garafolo reports the Ravens are "getting involved in talks" with free agent Ed Reed after he left Houston without a deal.
The Texans made Reed a contract offer, and it sounds like he's bringing it back to Baltimore for a chance to match. Reed has spent his entire 11-year career with the Ravens. Per Garafolo, "they won't let him walk without a fight."

Balt or Houston

Just have to laugh at anyone who truly believes the Arrington deal will be an obstacle for the Patriots to sign any player they really want.
