Earl Thomas Dislocated Shoulder

Dislocated mine while skiing and it hurt like hell (while it was out of the socket).

After they sedated me (20 min duration) in hospital and put it back in, I felt no more pain. However it was a bit weak and I didnt have the normal strenght or range of motion in the left arm. But pain -I felt 0 and for Thomas being 2 weeks after the event I suspect will be 0 as well.

My problem though was that either when it popped out or was put back in I had a bone chipped. The drs said it was a classic case that happens most of the time. The drs wanted to operate right away to put it back togehter before it regrew in wrong place. That actually put me in a sling for about 4-6 weeks. Most of my therapy requirements etc came from the surgery issues and not directly from the 'subluxation' (dislocation).

So if Thomas either didnt have any chipping problems or is electing to defer surgery, I would guess that he could play ok particularly on passing plays when he is just running and breaking up passes. But if he has to tackle a big bruising RB using both arms and not just a shoulder tackle on the lower legs using his good shoulder; then he could be a weak link.

**** Sherman is weak, didn't he get injured in the SB last year as well. The guy is not built to make a hit.
So 2 injuries in his entire career makes him weak? You can't play on a high ankle sprain. It took Gronk 2 weeks just to be used as a decoy in the Super Bowl because he couldn't be effective.

Any updates on Thomas? I read that Sherman is stressing that he will play. Don't think anyone doubted that.

Without question, he is an excellent player. I hate his attitude toward others and the vitriolic crap he dishes out. Most of it comes after games and it's a surprise nobody has cleaned his clock because of it. There's no chance he'd ever come to New England anyway because he can't keep his mouth shut.
come on. we were an inch away from having randy moss bring us a title. tom brady is our qb. get over chit talking. that's part of the game. you gotta love emotion

be honest... if he did the finger wag that revis does, would it be a display of a bad attitude? the guy is fine

Thomas didn't participate. Sherman had FULL participation today in practice.
