That would be so truly epic.I wouldn't hate Mason Rudolph replacing Dobbs as backup in the off-season.

I remember one of the shows this weekend (can't remember which one) talking about his ceiling . . . and someone asked "Does he have a ceiling?"This is all good stuff because as good as he's playing and as talented as he is, he still has room for improvement which is scary. I remember an old interview WEEI did with Brady in the early 2000s. The interviewer mentioned to Brady how Larry Bird as great as he was, always made a point to improve some aspect of his game every off season. Well, that's what Brady ended up doing!
Dead right Tommy. He is sure to stumble at some point. Then the negatives (as I call them) will appear from under their rocks and have a "lets bash Drake" day.All this hype is just a setup for him to have a 4-pick game and have everyone go SEE I TOLD YOU SHOULDA DRAFTED (fill in whatever guy here).
To quote someone else. "Bah"
Lol yeah..you know it’s coming…smhAll this hype is just a setup for him to have a 4-pick game and have everyone go SEE I TOLD YOU SHOULDA DRAFTED (fill in whatever guy here).

A great QB can have an isolated one off bad game. I don't think it's reasonable to freak out over it. A pattern over 3-4 games you can have questions with merit. Beyond that, sure time to really dive in.Dead right Tommy. He is sure to stumble at some point. If any poster would call out Drake for one bad game after what he's shown so far this year, then those are the guys who's posts I usually skim by anyway since they clearly have no idea what they're talking about.Lol yeah..you know it’s coming…smh
No problem though…we’ll just tell them to STFU..

Let them say what they will, won't change my day.
Drake gets it. Pretty soon half the region will join Will Campbell in being willing to “fight & die” for the guy.
Brady had at least one almost every year.A great QB can have an isolated one off bad game. I don't think it's reasonable to freak out over it. A pattern over 3-4 games you can have questions with merit. Beyond that, sure time to really dive in.
I don't think Drake will have 3 duds this year.
If he has top 5 stats and the Parts win 10+ games and make the playoffs, he will definitely have a real chance. Remember we had 4 wins last year and this is Maye's second season and first as a full-time starter. He will only win MVP if his stats are way better than Mayfield or Mahomes. Normally they go with the known and/or established guy if it's somewhat close. Not saying that is fair. It's just how voters look at things. Bad games will affect him more than the others. And inevitably he will have a terrible game or two. Every QB does. If you think about this is his first real season. Last year was a write-off with atrocious support and coaching. Despite him still having good stats.
Also, if the Patriots get a run game going, he won't accumulate the stats needed. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing where the Patriots need the run to work.
Also, the SB winner usually doesn't have the MVP QB. I wonder if that is because they throw so much during the year. So some tiredness combined with defenses catching up and forcing a run game come playoff time. SB 42 is an example. A better run game/trying to run more wins them that game easily. Instead, they wanted to air it out and win like they always had been. Despite the elite DL on the other side.
If Allen won the MVP in 2023, he doesn't win last year. I think voters felt he got the short stick from the year prior. So they kind of leaned toward him. There was also a fatigue imo where Lamar won two MVP's in like four years. I think Lamar deserved it last year.If he has top 5 stats and the Parts win 10+ games and make the playoffs, he will definitely have a real chance. Remember we had 4 wins last year and this is Maye's second season and first as a full-time starter.
Allen won last year after being close in the past. You could easily argue that Lamar had the stats to win the MVP, but it would appear that the voters wanted a change. So I don't agree with aways going with the usually suspects.
