Content Post Drake Maye has arrived . . .

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

I'm going to look on the bright side here. I think the fumbles are just growing pains of a guy who is hanging in the pocket and trying to win from the pocket. That's a good sign. I see so many mobile quarterbacks bailing on a clean pocket and try to make plays off script. That's fine but that's not a long term way to play. Maye just needs to continue to learn when to get to the check down. This was a nasty pass rush and we got rookies and we still have to build that line, maybe in this year's draft.

The fact that he put up 3 passing touchdowns on this Houston D was huge. Yeah the D won us this game but Maye in only his second year is showing he's a guy who can bounce back from adversity.

Maye is certainly erratic, the pocket awareness has to get better. It's frustrating watching him, he can be so good, then be so unaware. With the way the Pats D has been playing, he just can't fumble.

Drake this week they changed the game, they have removed the 1st half and we start the 2nd half. After the end of that 2nd half we take a lil break and come play 30 min of overtime. No 1st half....I repeat no 1st half

I think he like them…

“3 different bad ass receivers” and another bunch waiting in line.

Will it still be Pop, Diggs and Boutte this week? Mack is back, Kyle has thrown enough good blocks to deserve a bone thrown his way, Hunter Henry has been quiet too long, Rham could take it to the house from a catch or a run, and Hendo has untapped potential in the passing game.

Who will it be?

Or will Maye just keep it himself?

I think Henry, Rham/Hendo & whoever is matched up against Riley Moss will be in for big days.

-Denver’s LBs/safeties aren’t particularly good in coverage. Henry/Hooper should eat..

-Denver’s front seven is somewhat light in the pants & have been gashed lately. Also, their LBs, Safety Locke & CB Moss aren’t great getting off blocks; at least they haven’t been recently…So, if our backs get to the second/third level of their defense, look out! Second half dip: While elite early, the run defense dipped to 15th in DVOA since Week 10. Look for Rham & Hendo to combine for 4 TDs (just my humble opinion..)

-CB Moss is the weak link in their secondary. Whether it be Diggs, Boutte, Mack or whoever; I expect them to get plenty of opportunities to expose him in coverage.

-Lastly, I think Maye not only has a big day in the passing game; but also with his legs. I expect Maye to gain somewhere between 30-75 rushing when Denver is in man coverage; which is most of the time.

So if they follow that suggestion of doubling Diggs with Surtain on Boutte would that mean Moss is on Hollins? Or Pop Douglas?

Who would be covering Henry or Hoop down the seam?

Or for that matter Rham on a sluggo?

This may be fun to watch…

The open one.

We simply have too many options offensively for Denver to cover effectively. We’re 7-8 deep at receiver (including Rham/Hendo) & we should also be able to establish the run. We’d have to lose the turnover battle and/or not be effective in the red zone to lose this game.

Throwing in the elements is still a bit of a wild card. He only played in the rain for a few series’ and in heavy snow less than a half. It takes time to adjust. Remember Brady took 3 quarters to find his groove in the snow bowl, to my recollection his first game in snow here. Im not sure if that game was as windy as todays was either.

His mobility is a HUGE advantage in these type of games though.

Throwing in the snow should actually be easier since as WRs change direction the DBs are likely to slip or be slow to react.

That said the 3rd down redzone play with 6:11 in the 3rd was prior to that and Maye clearly missed a wide open Rhamondre here.
