Draft Day 3 Thread

Wouldn't mind seeing us take a chance on Jarrett Brown or Ryan Perriloux later in the draft. Preferably Jarrett Brown.

I want them to draft anthony dixon in the 5th.

jones/oghobasse/woods/deaderick as DE
kyle calloway would be a good OT to get rid of kaczur
not sure what's up with sapp, he will be gone soon though, most likely.

At the very least, the 7th rounders are going to make our practice squad very valuable.

There are still a few good recievers out there like Carlton Mitchell, Shay Hodge, Blair White, and Scott Long all who I think could push a guy like Patten off the roster.

I'd still be happy with White for high-floor, low ceiling, and Long or Webb as shoot-the-moon picks.

We can trade our two tradeable 7ths to move up to the top of the 5th round from the middle of the 5th to select the best pass rusher. Then with the 6th and 7ths we can take the best end there is and a punter etc

How many others spent several minutes this morning fantasizing about Hernandez joining Crumpler and Gronkowski? I was sweating it out, and then thought for sure the Jets jumped in front of them to grab Aaron Hernandez, The John Mackey Award Winner!

Brady has got to be pumped right now. Gronkowski, Hernandez, and Taylor Price to throw to, along with Tate coming back healthy? I can't believe how pumped I am.

Day 3 is off to a GREAT start. Please let us get Zoltan Mesko in Round 5. Of course, it's be better if we got a position player there, and got him in Rds 6 or 7, but I'm not sure he'll be there.

Really nice draft.

Dave Thomas fits that description.

I love the pick. Almost a thunder and lightning type TE duo. These two aren't limited to one or the other as far as catching and blocking. Definate mismatch trouble if we can get an offense to involve them.

Give me Tim Hiller or Jonathan Crompton instead. Preferably Hiller.

Only 1 of our 7th round picks can be traded, and our 6th can not. If the pats trade up significantly, I'd expect players and/or 2011 picks to be involved.

If there were ever a time for that, it's now. Huge draft haul from last year, another huge class this year, and 4 picks in the first 2 rounds next year. Youth aplenty. Meanwhile, some excellent talent is still around in the 4th/5th in this crazy-deep draft. I'd do it.

I want a Dixon and there are still good DL left.

I'd love to the the Pats grab another 4th or 5th.

grumble. wanted Kafka.

oh well, i knew he wouldn't last.

Another wide receiver would be on the Practice Squad
Moss
Holt
Edelman
Tate
Price
Patten (training camp fodder and veteran insurance)
Welker (PUP)

The Eagles have had an excellent draft. Tons of young defensive talent in their hands now.

RDE is kind of screwed, o well.

If Dwyer is magically at 150, take him.

I don't know about that...going into camp with precisely the number of WRs you'll need for opening day, with only Patten to spare, seems iffy.

Don't know Tim Hiller but wouldn't mind Crompton. I really like Jarrett Brown's raw skill set even though he only started for one year. Big arm and surprisingly very good accuracy.

What's the scoop on Hiller?

There is still some real talent at the Dline and OLB. I think a flyer of Schofield in the 5th or 6th wouldn't be a a bad idea
