I searched online for Dorsett's salary and found nothing.

Who is responsible for disclosing the salaries free agents sign for?

Shouldn't the players association demand the release of the info right away to help other free agents.

Is the player told by the signing team to keep it quiet?

The info always gets out eventually. It hasn't been that long since he agreed to the deal.

The NFLPA has a members section of their website that has contract data. They aggregate it and report salary cap information publicly. Sites like Spotrac and Overthecap rely on public reports.

Good for him. He'll ft better with Wilson, I think.

Like the guy a lot and he had a (short) good stretch late last year/early this year, but he was never really a fit with Josh's offense. If we're going with Stidham, go with the kid WRs.

I take it that you are a youngster.

Sometimes, it takes weeks after agreement before we know the final contract terms.

Dorsett would be this teams #2 or at worst #3. They really need to upgrade this spot. One thing that was always maddening about Dorsett was despite his speed he really didn't have the ability to burn cornerbacks. Odd indeed.

Poor Wilson. Petey is never going to get him a legit receiver.

Not a youngster just don't understand why it has to be that way.

You would think the NFLPA would insist on immediate disclosure to help with other player salary requests.

He's the prime example that speed does not mean separation.

    fair enough

Let us say an agreement is made on WED. Now the contract needs to be submitted and approved by the league, and a physical need to be taken. Then the NFL will post the contract and it will account against the cap, and the player will be part of the 90 man roster. That's best case. Sometimes a player and team come to an agreement in principle, and the details continue to be worked out.

Sometimes, an agreement is made, but the player and team don't make it official for weeks. The team may need to clear cap room. The team may be waiting to announce until the cap money is needed. For example, there is probably an patriots extension that's already agreed to, but there is no reason to make the announcement.

I don't know why you think that the union would insist on prompt posting of contracts. A new contract might help or hurt the market for a player negotiating with a team. Such information might be equally useful to teams. For example, if Cam and Winston signed for $14M AAV, the quarterback market price would collapse. If I were the again t of Dalton, I wouldn't want to have such contracts made public.

Dorsett seems to need a second person, who can draw the safety. He's not capable of beating safety over the top coverage with any degree of regularity.

My biggest hope and desire for 2020 and this era is that we get rid of our offensive scheme and look to adopt the more modern offenses that are more collegiate in design and much easier to pick up for new receivers. I do wonder if Josh McDaniels has stuck around for this transformation. I truly hope so as we finally have a QB in Stidham who can move around and be a dual weapon.

Still can't believe that the zebra didn't even at least begin to pull out his hankie...

Him....same as in Indy...maybe the scramble-drill offense in Seattle will be more to his liking...
less reliant on patterns vs coverage and more on running fast somewhere while the QB draws their attention...

Except for, you know, the ones in the playoffs during the last Super Bowl run.
