Seems like he gave up a lot of playing time and money when he chose the Pats over a bunch of Tampa 2 teams where he could have been the Will. I don't doubt he's enjoying the two rings though.

Fine sentiments, all.
All richly deserved.

I want him, especially,
to stay with the organization.

Classy guy on and off the field....Only wish the best for him and his family....Could be fine coach someday...

I concur.

Don, you were a solid player on great teams, dropping back to safety when needed, and key STer.

Also, I happen to know your salsa-dancing skills are hellagood! (Your wife's pretty hot, too!)

Vaya con dios, and thanks for your part in happy off-seasons for us all.

He was our scaled back version of Adalius Thomas back in 2004, even starting a game at safety.

Thx Bai :eat1:

Been a fave since he has been here; solid, consistent, positive locker room influence.. just an all around good guy who was a good football player.. he knew his role and place on this team.

classy guy, great patriot, lets never forget him

His fourth and one stop against the Bills last year turned that game in favor of the Pats. The fledgeling season opener was looking shockingly bleak before that play.

Thanks Don. You're a Patriot through and through. All the Best to you and your family!

Don,

Many thanks for your time as a New England Patriot. Your efforts as a player and team leader were inspiring and for me, greatly appreciated. I wish you the very best and hope to shortly see the announcement of your signing as an assistant to Coach Woicik. You will always be a Patriot! God Bless.

I don't blame him,sad to see him go though. Thank you for everything, enjoy your retirement, and do consider a clipboard!?! :rocker:

One of the great unsung heroes of the Patriots.

I was at the game in 2004 in the Meadowlands where he had to play starting Safety. Just couldn't believe what a great job he did (and that he survived it without being picked on). One of the great, overlooked individual performances of the past six years happened that day. In addition to that, everything I have read about him sounds like he is a great citizen.

Thanks Don, and best wishes for everything in life!

Congrats on a really nice career, Don!
