Don banks doesnt understand why BB was stoic

Don Banks doesn't get it. he thinks BB is acting and he's not. this is who he is.

Banks brings up **** Vermeil but he neglects to mention that when the Rams starting QB Trent Green (who had been signed to a big extension) went down in 1999, an unknown arena league football player named Kurt Warner stepped up and helped the Rams win the Superbowl championship.

I'm not saying that Cassel is going to be Kurt Warner, but there's a chance that the replacement guy turns out better than you think. And Banks was the one who cited Vermeil (known for being very emotional). BB's the opposite. He keeps his 'cards' hidden at press conferences. Why would he act any differently, particularly if he has confidence in Cassel to step up?

The thing is if Belichick said what Banks wanted him to say, there would have been about 5-10 other writers writing pieces on how Belichick has lost his confidence and that he is lost without Brady. From a media perspective, Belichick was damned if he did and damned if he didn't.
