I would strongly consider and look to sign him to a modest incentive laden 2 year deal. The deal should be short on guarantees but give him the chance to make more than he will elsewhere if he still has the goods and contributes on the field. I agree with others that this team is short on corners and if he can still play great. If not cut loss quickly and move on.

In some ways Brady taking less than market allows the Pats to take chances on guys like this one who have the potential to contribute.

If Marshall can still play, I imagine there will be plenty of competition for his services. How many teams feel great about their DB depth?

True; the good news is that there's still over $8M in cap room available which could eliminate some
of the CB-needy teams who are already cap-tight. I'm not suggesting spending all of that room on
a physically fit Marshall, but how about 1/5th ($1.75M) of it?
