Dolphins bench Henne for Pennington

Henne is garbage. I can't say this surprises me.

People complain about our second round picks, but look at the Dolphins QB's used with 2nd rounders (pick or trade). AJ Feeley, John Beck, Chad Henne, Pat White, and Daunte Culpepper. It's a Who's Who of bad QB's.

And to think, they could have had Brees...

I wonder if Parcells would still take Long over Ryan, if he had a do-over.

Pennington gearing up for yet another Comeback Player of the Year award. Two already.

I have always thought Penny was a very good and accurate short to medium range passer. But that being said, if your replacing your QB once every series for the wildcat, then you needed a new QB to begin with.

Coming into this season, I thought pretty highly of Henne. He just hasn't been very good at all though.

If Miami wants to cut down on turnovers then it would make sense to turn to Pennington. Henne threw three picks last week and has ten this year. His completion percentage has improved, but 8 TD/10 INT is not good. Pennington has a career interception percentage of just 2.6%.

Miami can't afford to be turning the ball over to a good team like Tennessee. Their margin for error is slim now; even though the season is only halfway over they can't afford very many more losses. Those losses to the Jets and Steelers, games they could have won if a couple calls went there way really hurt them. If they lose to the Titans they might have to win their last seven in a row to make the playoffs.

I get to go home and deal with Vikings fans and Dolphin fans for friends... I can't WAIT to complain that "Brady hasn't been good" LOL. I will probably get stabbed

I predicted this one.

Watching Henne at Michigan convinced me, saw him play a lot.

I thought I was done with that loser, every time he surfaces you get people on here saying how much they love him and how they wanna marry him and father his children.

*puke*

Henne has alot of potential, he just needs time to develop.

More moves by the Dolphins:

Miami Dolphins waive CB Jason Allen, sign veteran Al Harris - Miami Dolphins - MiamiHerald.com

When the season began, Miami Dolphins cornerback Jason Allen earned one more shot to become the team's starter after years of bouncing around the depth chart. It would turn out to be his final chance.

Allen, the 16th overall pick in 2006, was waived Wednesday to make room for the addition of veteran Al Harris, a two-time Pro Bowl selection who cleared waivers Tuesday after the Packers let him walk Monday.

Harris, 35, sustained a traumatic knee injury in November 2009, but he was able to pass a physical Wednesday morning before signing.

The Dolphins believe Harris is a short-term stabilizer who provides veteran experience in the team's nickel and sub packages. Miami is not anticipating he will compete for a starting job.

Wow. What a terrible list of QB's. Still, I'm not sure if this was the best move. When you remove you starting QB 8 weeks into the season, you're pretty much calling him a bust. I don't see how they can really recover from this. Which means another first of 2nd round QB pick next year for them. They are 4-4 after a brutal schedule...I would have given it a couple more weeks.

Well, the Dolphins just improved substantially.

Pennington is a smarter and more expereinced QB, and he will only help improve that Dolphins offense.....

Bill Parcell should have known that Wild Cat is not a long term answer in today's NFL.
By drafting Pat White they'd missed on a few qualityplayers:Max Unger C , Andy Levitre G , Phil Loadholt T , William Beatty T , Sebastian Vollmer T. And going into 2011 draft they'll not have a second round pick.

Werent a lot of the mediots in this area picking the dolphins to win the division?

I never understood the Dolphins love, suddenly they became favorites after spending close to 90 million or whatever on two players. Yet everyone failed to care that that both their lines were consistently being destroyed and replaced with castoffs from some of the worse teams in the league. Their one guard was cut or traded by the Cowboys, and Incognito followed getting cut by the Bills to getting cut by the Rams. But they got "deep threat" Brandon Marshall, who was never really a true deep threat at Denver. Just a possession, huge YAC threat.
