Best thing I can recommend is DVR the game and avoid football conversations before watching it. If you only miss some of the game, skip the commercials and catch up to the live game. Otherwise, watch it when you have time but don't watch the news/browse the Internet before then as games are not nearly as entertaining when you know how they end.
I hear ya, shipmate. Although I'm long outta the service, I still remember being deployed and having to search through newspapers to find out just so much as the score! Stateside, even if we were flying, we could still get the game on the radio or have our radio operator give us updates.
I was thinking about DVR'ing it..but i know people at work would find out the score some how and tell me as they know i am die hard about the pats
My work went overseas, I can watch anytime..........there are some drawbacks though.
DVR the games. Dont let anyone tell you the results. Go straight home and watch. Its not the same thing, but its as close as you can get.See i wouldn't be able to do that..no phone..tv ect...it's going to be a rough season...hopefully i don't miss too many
I am going to miss at least the 1st half of all 1:00 games this season. My 12 year old is a goalie on a soccer premier team that plays most of it's games at 12:30 this fall. I will catch the game on the NFL channel later in the week. I'll listen on my Droid if possible.
I really hope they can do well in the 1st half without me ...
