I see his getting brought up in this video, but I think it’s a little silly to assume Vrabel would refuse to play Hunter at CB just because “he’s not big framed”

Yes he does.
Ability to separate is probably the single most important traits in a wr.
And Hunter is great at it.
But even though he's not big, he is great at winning contested catches. Very strong and tough.
He's anybody's type of wr.
Tyreek Hill, at his best was the best wr in the nfl in at least the last 15 years. Also
not a big frame.
Hunter is different but he does have some similarities to Hill.

Tyreek is short but built like a tank and sturdy and could take hits
Hunter is not like tyquan thornton but is extremely lean.
I can see why giants would be smart to take hunter. Line him up as slot wr opposite nabors. They would be tough matchup for any team

Giants woukd be stupid to pass on hunter

Especially now that they have their QB.

If the Giants get Hunter, given their roster construction, I believe it’ll be to play CB. They have Nabers and Robinson and just re-signed Slayton. They’ll need to upgrade from Deonte Banks, who otherwise is getting cooked in a division loaded with tough WRs to defend.

That said I don’t signing Winston necessarily means they won’t go QB. Winston is getting paid like a backup and is certainly not ideal as a regular starter.

Hunter is literally the same size as Ja'marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. And Nabors. And Darelle Revis and Ty Law, while we're at it.

Like, the same size.

Are you talking about Winston? Or did they actually get a starting caliber QB? No QB they can get in FA should stop them from drafting a QB if they like them....all of the FAs are short term starters at best....or like Winston likely a backup.

I want us to draft Hunter and think Vrabel easily finds a way to get the best out of him.

However, I think Cleveland are taking Sanders, NYG are taking Hunter. Or vice versa.

I don't understand where the Carter to Cleveland crowd are getting their intel... anyone shed light?

I assumed he was being sarcastic.

Why would the Giants want 4 great WRs and no QB? The Giants would be stupid to pass on their 4th WR and not try to pick their franchise QB? I don't follow. Even if it is a gamble, every team has to try to find a QB before 4 WRs.

Last year the Giants chose Nabors at WR before 3 QBs who will start for the Falcons, Broncos and Vikings this year. This year you think the Giants would be stupid to again not take a chance on a QB. When do you think it is smart to pick a QB?

I'm a BPA kindof guy. But I just can't understand how Maye becomes who I think/hope he can be without a quality left tackle. If you you belive QB is the most important position in the game, then LT sets up the QB up for success. The ghost of David Carr haunts me.

The best receiver in the NFL in the last 15 years aint Tyreek, that would be Antonio Brown, and he wasnt big either.

so he needs to gain 5 more lbs
He's 21. He'll probably gain that before camp.

Someone must have said 'he has a small frame' on TV or something, I've seen this comment around more than once. Yet no one says anything about Abdul Carter, who's supposed to be an EDGE player.

If Hunter doesn’t fit Vrabel’s type of WR but Polk does, it’s time to re-evaluate how we scout our WRs
